The idiot in the first red car should be in the left lane if not going faster than the other cars there anyway. Then he speed up slightly when beeing tailgated, but then slow down again and refuses to change to the slow lane once past the other car. But with that said, the cam car was still too aggressive - it didn't look like there was much space to get in front of it at 1:10 (so he most likely forced the slow idiot to slam on the brakes and slow down even more, to not get hit - which was most likely what triggered that level of aggession). For the second red car, he also goes straight to undertake - despite it indicating it's about to change lane (which was a quite impatient move).

@@Speeder84XLThe Citroen does signal left but cancels. I think that might be because they see the cammer approaching quickly in lane 1. Then the cammer sits close to their nearside; Citroen has to move left because of red Ford behind. But, they're probably hesitant because the cammer is so close.

Dangerous & careless driving by cammer. No excuse though for the illegal attack by the 'victim' I'd give them both an Ashley Neal score of an E. Could be argued that the glass smasher lane hogged, but to me it looked like he was at or just over the speed limit given the braking for the speed camera so cammer shouldn't have been wanting to overtake anyway.

Distinct lack of proper observation - cam driver didn't see, or didn't care about red car at all, and was driving dangerously, undertaking (legal, but unsafe here, so illegal), likely speeding and just generally driving in a manner that renders him/her/them a complete bellend. The fact they stopped very much behind the red ford at the lights means they probably didn't want to make eye contact and knew they'd messed up, more than once. I cannot commend the cammer for anything there, quite the opposite. They seem like someone who habitually puts others under unnecessary pressure for the weakest of reasons, and occasionally turns that into aggressive and risky behaviour (we've all met them hundreds of times). This is what happens when you drive like this. Every now and then, you're going to meet someone who's already having a bad day and then you arrive a few feet behind them and gurney at them through the mirror. I thought the Ford driver was doing well not to spend time alongside the delivery van, and the C1 initially saw the risk, but inevitably found themselves getting caught up in someone else's episode. They probably won't be a friendly witness for the cammer. The reaction of smashing the window was obviously unacceptable, but to be honest, someone was going to do something like that sooner or later if that's the cammer's normal way of driving.

Fairly normal in the first minute. Red Focus in front of us not really overtaking (other than briefly speeding up past the van), should prob drop to lane 1 but could be turning right ahead somewhere so not an issue. Maybe in cruise control or something. About 1:01, cammer decides to undertake. This feels a bit of impatient "must get in front", as seems to totally fail to spot the left turning car ahead until quite late. Instead of backing off, speeds into the gap back into lane 2 (into increasing risk), probably making the Focus brake a little. Focus driver now antagonised. 1:16 - Red 107, having moved out to go around the darker blue car going left, looks to drop back into lane 1 after passing the turning car and quickly aborts seeing cammer going for an undertake. For some reason, cammer holds back, Focus sees this and speeds up. 107 getting out of the way of them chops cammer but has little choice; cammer could have made more space to drop into, can't tell if they were flashed in. If the Cammer stays behind the 107, situation poss defuses anyway but nope, Cammer then must stay in front of Focus so chops them to overtake the 107. Both then promptly get stuck at the red. So yeah, started by the cammers impatience, cammer gets an F. Focus gets an F for the retaliation. 107 gets an A for situational awareness, possibly dropped to a B for how close that chop seemed.

Cam car undertook Red Ford, almost caused a collision with a blue Hyundi, and the red car whilst swerving into the path of the red Ford, then later forced a red Citroen to alter their plans as cam car undertook them. Red ford fell back but then sped up to confront the cam car when the cam car overtook blue Citroen into path of red Ford. Okay Cam car wasn't driving safely enough, but not sure it warranted the confrontation and breaking the window. Familiar with this road, it's the Wolverhampton road, heading towards Birmingham / Quinton via the Hagley Road West. It's a busy road, with people often needing to cut across it, or turn right off it and there are even school crossing points along this 40mph dual carriageway with active "lollypop" crossing points. Cam car is clearly not interested in the "flow" of traffic, his undertake was just unnecessary and you can see the ford took offense to it, as when he goes to undertake the Peugeot the ford has dropped a gear and is effectively "chasing him". When the Peugeot decides to stop lane hogging the outside lane for no obvious reason at all, he cuts up the ford again, with clearly no right of way to do so, making this even more personal for the ford driver, they were inches away from colliding. You can see now, Mr Cam car doesn't have the balls to explain himself at the lights, so holds back instead of talking with the driver he's just mugged off twice, and at 1:43 you can see in the side mirror of the ford, that the driver has got out of the vehicle. At 1:54 you can see the suspension move, as the driver gets back in. I don't condone what the Ford driver did, because no one owns the roads, but if this person is a viewer of yours, and thinks that their driving is okay, they need a long hard look at themselves, because they invited this trouble. (I'm assuming genders obviously, it doesn't matter if it was a woman or a man, the driving was stupid, equally so, the reaction was while understandable in their anger, completely disproportionate)

@lr5777
@lr5777 Ай бұрын
My own personal view of the situation: Initially, upon passing the white van in lane one, the driver of the red Focus probably should have moved left and let the camera car past. The red Focus driver's lane-hogging wound up the driver of the camera car who decided to undertake. Upon realising what was going on, the driver of the Focus accelerated in a clear attempt to prevent the camera car from passing on the left. A daft move, although the camera car driver was just as daft for continuing with the manoeuvre, eventually cutting sharply in front of the red Focus. What would have happened had the blue Hyundai in lane one at 1:09 performed an emergency stop? The aggressive manner in which the camera car approached the red Citroen wasn't good either. The driver of the red Citroen's initial lane discipline was poor, but they indicated left when the camera car approached from behind, and yet the camera car cut across to the inside lane anyway with a significant speed differential, clearly unsettling the driver of the red Citroen. The way the camera car suddenly slowed to match the speed of the red Citroen whilst sitting about a car length behind it invited them to move back into lane one, which they did. By this point, the red Focus was already approaching quickly in lane two, clearly about to overtake the camera car. This is where the driver of the camera car really disgraces themselves in my opinion. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt by saying that they failed to check their mirrors, but from how aggressively they swerved into lane two, I'm fairly confident the cut-up of the red Focus was deliberate. As they pulled up at the red light, the passenger window was partially open on the red Focus. At this point, the driver of the camera car actually did something sensible for the first and only time in this video by hanging back, presumably in an attempt to avoid verbal confrontation. Unfortunately for the camera driver, it was too late. The driver that they'd provoked turned out to be a psycho. Absolutely no excuse for getting out and smashing the window, but very little sympathy for the camera driver from me in this instance. Simply a case of when two idiots meet. It's just that one of the idiots hadn't anticipated how crazy the other one was! I wonder what the drivers behind made of it all. They all arrived at the traffic lights at the same time, presumably with a much lower heart rate and all their windows still intact. Hopefully this experience changes the camera car driver's attitude behind the wheel.

The Citroen was using the lanes correctly. Moved out into lane 2 to pass a slowing car that was turning off to the left. They were in the process of returning to lane 1 but were hung out in lane 2 by the camera car sniffing and ultimately failing to undertake. They even held back to allow it. The camera was very much thinking about the Focus when rounding the Citroen, they just had to be in front of it regardless of anything, hence completing the dangerous move which meant the Focus had to slam on. Had the camera car just completed the undertake of the Citroen they may have avoided the window break as the previous move was far enough away from the Focus to be totally provoking.

It never ceases to amaze me that people send you videos like this one. What exactly are they expecting? Justification for their criminal behaviour? I knew where this was going based on the poor gap maintenance right from the start - it doesn't matter if the car in front can't maintain a constant speed, you shouldn't be allowing the gap to halve in size simply because you're either not paying attention or are "in a hurry". Still, turning a bit of anger at someone's inconsiderate driving into a criminal damage incident is dumb as rocks.

Unclear if the red estate was being intentionally obstructive at the beginning, but the cammer was impatient. Dangerous undertake. Dangerous changing of lanes on the attempted undertake of the little Citroen. But that's in part due to the Red estate who suddenly decided that they wanted to go MUCH faster than they were choosing to go before they got undertaken (making me question if it was intentional obstruction). The cammer should have waited until it was clear for the original red estate to pull over and let them past, then pass. The red estate could have pulled in if they weren't currently overtaking and there was space to pull in. Not clear why the red Citroen pulled into lane 2? Because the blue car slowed down to leave the carriageway? Might not have happened if they'd have pulled into the slip road/lane before slowing down, causing a speed differential resulting in the red Citroen pulling into lane 2, effectively locking an almost empty road to what every speed it was doing. Seems like the cammer and the red estate were both speeding at at least one point? Dangerous attempted undertake of the red Citroen by the cammer. Dangerous lane change by the cammer to cut up the red estate. That easily could have been a collision. At least the cammer did pull back in when clear to do so. Hot heads cause fires. Some courtesy from the red estate to pull over if not overtaking rather than "must be in front" mentality might have reduced the likely hood of this happening. Some patience from the cammer could have stopped thing escalating. Some courtesy from the car leaving the carriageway to use the slip lane to slow down might have reduced the tensions. Also maybe the red Citroen hadn't left a big enough gap in front of them? Some more pro-active lane changing back into lane one by the red Citroen might have helped reduce tensions/pressure for this type of behaviour. Some cool headedness from the red estate would have eliminated the almost crash as the cammer cut them up after they seem to have speeded up out of spite? Some patience and courtesy from the cammer to just wait for the red estate to pull in or pass, same for the red Citroen, would have prevented this whole exchange. When two selfish aggressive and inconsiderate people meet.

He stopped short of the white line. Clearly a sign that he had driven stupidly. And didnt want a sidewards glare.

'Make it a non-event' comes to mind ... both drivers clearly could have done a lot better. Second undertake by the cammer looked very close, but the red focus was triggered from the first undertake it seems. Expensive undertake to arrive at a red light first!

I have only watched to 01:20 thus bar but felt driven :::)) to communicate how shocking this drivers behaviour is: undertaking several times; often less than 2s behind a vehicle in front, all factors indicative of being impatient!!! Peace & Love!!!

That was really weird... Perfectly normal, reasonable driving and then suddenly mad dangerous passing for no adequately explained reason.

That's what I thought initially, with the exception of the cammer's tailgating. However, I think we're both looking at traffic with calm minds. The cammer was like a pot slowly boiling over with frustration.

1:10 was the first offense that may have been ignored by the window smasher, but the second offense at 1:24 tipped him over. As a side note, the music in the background gives me an accurate impression of the cammer, so consider me not surprised at all.

Were they lane hogging? All staggered and spaced it seemed reasonable given they knew they were going ahead and cars may slow and peel off to the left. The focus checked their speed for the speed camera the red mist descended and the weaving commenced.

Earlier in the clip the red car is slower than left lane traffic only speeds up when being tailgated goes past the van and then slows down as you can see blue car is getting further ahead in left lane. Red car caused the road rage of cammer, who rather than wait patiently for a chance to overtake became equally as bad. Lane hoggers need points deducting from their license/have their license revoked for dangerous driving, guaranteed if you attempt to overtake a lane hogger they will speed up to prevent the overtake which leads to so many accidents. The red car is the type of driver that does 60-65mph in middle lane of a motorway when left lane is clear who will then proceed to accelerate upwards of 80mph if being overtaken by right lane traffic and if you then decide to pull in behind them because they are now moving they will just slow back down to 60mph again until you reattempt to overtake. It's highly dangerous driving and your left with 3 options either do 60mph and hold behind them in left lane as you can't legally undertake, infuriate the traffic behind by following them in the middle lane below the speed limit or continue to speed sometimes up to 90mph till you get past them in the right lane before then moving right over to the completely empty left lane.

What should the punishment be for tailgating? Arguably a more serious offence.

Cam car pulling up short at the lights - so that car windows weren't parallel - would suggest cam car had a good idea there was about to be some form of argument about to happen None of this was in anyway necessary - while not condoning any violence, arguably thankfully the only damage was the deliberately broken window Driving so close and at speeds like that could easily have turned over any of the road user's vehicles While these drivers were concentrating on this positional driving, they are distracting themselves from other dangers and hazards such as residential area vulnerable pedestrians

I feel like words were already being yelled as he passed... The stopping short seems sudden when the lead up braking was smooth. Also, it's possible whatever broke the window was being waved already as he approached, and he saw it. I'd brake hard if I saw someone lining up to throw a hammer out the window at my car too.

This is the way driving’s going today. People have no regard or respect for the law. We need more Police on the roads. Driving standards no longer exist. I’m a HGV Driver and I used to love driving but, todays Car drivers haven’t got a clue. They just go from A to B with Blinkers on in their own bubble. Make the Driving Tests include HGV Awareness. Make the Test harder and give the Police more Powers to catch the Idiots.

The cammer was driving rather aggressively and the red ford was being obstructive, I wonder if there had been previous interaction between them which led the ford driver not wanting to let the cam car past? The one I feel for was the driver of the little red Citroen who got harassed and undertaken when he was signalling left. Perhaps he was the culprit?
