I actually built an Ashling the Extinguisher almost 5 years ago….it was my first mono coloured deck i built from scratch. I had so much fun playing it

I actually rotate my Ashling Deck between Ashling and Jaya Ballard. They want almost all of the same things so it works out pretty well. Jaya is much more mana efficient to get the board wipe going which is nice. But ashling has the confuses opponents factor which is also really nice.

Dont know if you remember, but you told me to look into that one right here, got me good im building her now and as a gag im gonna be building her completely in german (im from germany an normaly loath the german translations of cards) but if the whole thing sounds funny even better, gonna hurt to buy some of the expensive cards again with the stupid name but im gonna try to keep it in budget, still dont even own a wheel in english and thats gonna stay like it is, but this deck looks awesome! Thanks again

Well that should be pretty silly in German! I think I also did an update on this in the past 2 months or so, had quite a few updates and shifted somehow of it operates.

@@CommanderReplay if its the same list like it was linked, than i saw it, but the general idea stayed the same i guess? Like try to give her a way to live after her activation and lifelink plus repercussion stuff, at least thats what i try to do now, such a sweet unusual ability

@@DrFrogman Yep the tappedout link has been updated. Vicious Shadows, Rage Thrower, repercussion, and pyrohemia are some of the newer things im testing out (but should be pretty good). I dont know what you're budget is like but man if you can get a feast and famine that will do wonders for your mana, fire and ice is more optional but nice to have. Still got lots of things I want to test with it. Good luck!

So basically mana + ashling equals win? Sounds amazing. Better than the other Ashling game you have on your channel. Question: does Toralf do fun stuff with Ashling? Does Torbran as well?

Yes it does, Toralf will make the excess damage bounce around. Torbran is also nice but you do have to becareful because you are probably blowing up your own creatures as well. Im still trying to clear a slot in my paper list for Toralf...ill figure it out eventually.

@@CommanderReplay I believe Torbran just adds damage to opponents creatures but still don't want to hurt your creatures or tempo yourself out

Sinew and steel Fire and ice Pro red is VERY good to have Might want war and peace Claw and fang once wotc makes that one And I noticed you're not running akroma's memorial? That seems like it would be worth a slot in this deck

I do love Ashling even though she struggles compared to other mono red commanders.

Ashling is one of those potential commander's I like but won't build. If i was going for lifelink with blow up the world it would be better with the new mardu dragon. Building mono red is hard to build good. My brews generally lean towards the same 20 cards then fill in the rest so they feel like the worse version of previous decks. 👍
