I can’t wait to read all 3 of these. I love how Ashlynn doesn’t sugar coat a book review for what it’s not. She totally gives her honest opinion and you can see that threw her reactions. All her emotions and excitement are so visibly shown threw her eyes her smile her face. She is one to wear her heart up front and I love that. I have ADHD, and if I was not stuck on a bus during a summer tour with a drum and bugle corps, a marching band type activity in the 80s I would have had hard time getting into it. This is because it was so descriptive. My friend sitting next to me finished it a couple days into the tour and once I got through a couple of chapters, I read it straight on the days that were travel days.

I also had some issues with the blade itself but i LOVED book 2 so much. Easy 5 stars for me. Book 3 I liked a little less than 2 but so worth to read them both still.

I had the same feelings as Ashlynn after reading The Blade Itself but kept reading the series. The books just got better and I safely say that Joe Abercrombie is one of the top fantasy authors for me. The characters are brilliant and their arcs intriguing. I hope she gives The Dark Tower series a go as well, except for the first book which is weird, the rest of them are such a ride. My favourite fantasy series for sure! 😍
