the thing I started doing, to simplify, is keeping a 60 seconds rule. if I see something, that needs to be done, and I can do it within 60 seconds I do it.

I try to do the same. I also have begun to adopt this mindset of identifying what’s bothering me and trying to change it, starting with what’s in my house because all that is the easiest to change and surprisingly really affects my mood and productivity. Can be as small as the dishes stink every time I’m near the sink. Well then do them already! Or as big as, I don’t like this aspect of my job and trying to grow past it with education or finding a new job. It can also be applied to relationships and social life. Got it from Jordan Peterson.

Heck yes! To preparing clothes the night before. I have been doing it for years. It's been such a huge improvement. In terms of screen time, I actually find it helpful to delete social media apps and use them only when I want to post (which is very rare) because I have school during the year.

For some reason I was waiting for a good time to transfer the pictures to my desktop computer.... just do it from your phone straight to the printing service....

I keep my phone on mute for everything except phone calls. If someone calls me it is probably important. And very few spam calls get through my filter. Everything that isn't a phone call must not be that important. Even at work, when someone texts me... If it is truly important they will call and if I don't respond to texts right away I MUST be working too hard to notice... Or so they can assume.

All excellent and I will be putting some of these to work today, thank you so much! Just to add to the breathing, if you take time to practice either deep breathing or box breathing, (in - twothreefour hold - twothreefour out - twothreefour hold - twothreefour) ( I call it waltz breathing) it will be immensely helpful when you get anxious or hurt yourself as you will just start breathing like that without thinking. I practice at least ten minutes a day and it has helped decrease the time of my panic attacks so much.

I don't know how can I go for a walk anymore. Before I am really a extrovert but when I realize that I enjoy the silence in my own room, and I'm more comfortable alone, I don't go outside anymore. I don't know, it feels like I have a social anxiety now. I remember when my mom and I go outside, I'm not comfortable and I notice that my hands are shaking, and I'm just looking down, scared to meet people eyes.. I don't know what happened to me, I really thought before that maybe I'm just really introvert, but when I go outside I remember the signs of "social anxiety" that I've read online, and it's really defined me.

I once tried the turn the notifications off thing and it surprinsingly didn't work for me. When they were off, I actually found myself even more oj the phone to check if I got messages. When I had the notifications on I just had to check on the display and decide wether I wanna answer now or later. And with them being off I often found myself opening the messnlenger app itself to see if I have a new message. So for me that didn't work, but at least I tried it!

This works better for me too! :) My phone's notification is on but it's also on vibrate mode (and away from my desk) so it's less distracting. Every 2 hours, I check my phone screen to prioritize messages / alerts.

carrying a water bottle is the best advice. Not only it reminds u to drink, but also the more u drink, the less you carry... lol also I like the advice on timing yo tasks esp annoying ones. Like decluttering photos etc. 10 min a day is totally doable. But I put it off EVERY day bc when I just think about how much needs to be done, I don't do it at all.

How do minimalist wear/use a small purse? I've tried it so manny times. But if I go to work and bring my lunch I have a glass container of soup, glass container with Nuts, apple, banana and my work clothes. And my wallet, phone and Keys. (They fit in a small purse) And in the weekend i take a tripp to the library. Or do grosery shopping. And then again a small purse doesn't the job. So i always feel a maximalist because my purse is a totem bag 😮 (i use the same for over a decade haha)

This continues to be a huge problem for me as well because there are so many thing I really want to take with me! I always wear or have a jacket and have my every day carry~ a little zippered bag (6"×4") that holds my cards/cash, travel headache stuff, lipgloss, keys, etc., which goes in one pocket, my phone goes into the other pocket. I have an amazing ukoala purse (awesome for going places you want to be hands free), a canvas bag (to go crafting at a friend's house or shopping), and a backpack (usually for overnights) when I *have to* carry more. I was amazed at how little I actually need on a regular day 😀

Hi, Ashlynne, I liked your video, do you have another 25? Your video says 50 in the title but you only went through 25 so eager to hear more. Thanks so much

I shared this at the beginning of the video, but it’s a collaboration... meaning that I shared half of the ideas in this video and that you can click to watch Meghan’s (linked in the description) to watch the other 25 ideas! 😊

Thank you for a great video! However, everyone please research unroll.me before you use it. A couple years ago it came out that Unroll.me was selling anonymized information from user's inbox to third parties (Uber for example). Their website/service is no longer available in the EU after GDPR (our personal data protection regulations), so it's probably still fishy. You don't just have them search through your inbox for subscribtions once, you give them access to your mailbox whenever they want it.

When I heard this advice from the video's author I immediatelly thought that Who wants to give permission to some third party to go through your all emails. Then I went searching for a comment. You are the only one.

Focusing on one thing at a time is a little more difficult when you’re a parent, I will say that. There’s so much going on in our brains! For example if I took a walk with my kids, it’s great to try and focus on the trees and the nature around me, but part of my brain also needs to be focusing on the safety of my children. If I am working at home, and my kids are home, my focus is always divided. It’s hard; not impossible, but hard.

Thank you for what you taught us because for one ideology it reminded me of what I derived earlier from another lesson which was to keep a catalogue inventory of all my different types of material. Don’t be a stranger now equally by please responding back at least about your justified memory jog I just mentioned because I am even always on the lookout to be able to be of that sort of assistance myself but now if you’ll excuse me then I now have to run…

I am a slight minimalistic person...... I go thru my entire house at least every 3 or 4 months and throw away multiple trash bags full of stuff or donate and dont like to take in or buy things that I dont truly believe would be loved ....... And in my personal opinion, I do not want to upset anyone because I'm not meaning this in a rude way at all like I said I am a very minimalistic person but in my opinion I think that a lot of minimalism is really more of OCD issues then it is mindfulness and that doesn't go for everybody but I think it does for a lot of people including myself for me even though I want to be a mindful person I think it has more to do with the fact that I don't like clutter and I don't like things that are just sitting around the house that are not going to be used🤗🤗 does anyone else feel this way?
