Hey! I'm Karan and I am an Indian-American fan of chutney and Indo-Caribbean culture. I speak Hindi and can understand some Hindustani from listening to hours of chutney/baithak gana during the pandemic. Despite not being Indo-Caribbean myself, I really admire the efforts y'all have put into this cause and want to take part in it myself. Can anyone translate this popular bhajan by Ashnie Matadin? It’s a lokgeet or folk song... where is mahadev from? Who are the children playin in the courtyard.. mahadev came from the East and Radha rani is playin in the godiya (lap) of the woman... her mother. The song goes on to ask a question and then give the answer... you will hear names of Hindu gods... Rama, Krishna etc..
