What an awesome video... i enjoyed your humour - "that'll teach me to be fancy" i did laugh at this. Look like you had an great day out. So much info, given in such an interesting - not overwhelming way. Thankyou for sharing your day out with us. Although, it did look quite cold!

I enjoy the enthusiasm you share with us. Here in NJ we have Snow Buntings on the beaches during different times in the winter. As well as in the farm fields. Also, Horned Larks and Snowy Owls.

Excellent stuff Liam. A bit like but probably better than what we have at our RSPB city Window on wildlife, or Castle Espie or Oxford Island or Lough Beg. What a great day you had! Best wishes from the Belfast Castlereagh hills.

Great video and well put together! Wierd that we hadn't seen the Snow Buntings at all that day until that point and they turn up very close by. Thanks for the day out and I hope we get more great footage in 2022! 👍

Enjoyed that very much. What a great selection of birds! I wasn't aware of that peculiarity about the harrier and the ruff. Looks a great place to go. Love your enthusiasm too.

Amazing. I was up there in Norfolk in June, what an amazing place. I have been lucky enough to see Snow Bunting in Essex on the coast, stunning birds. We was lucky enough to see Bearded tits at Cley this year!

So many things I loved about this video, including: "that'll teach me for trying to be fancy"; the timelapse from 6:06 ; your follower's POV shots of you (helped the story-telling); the Snow Buntings and your unbridled excitement at finding them. Top stuff mate. You certainly made yourself available to luck (now, where have I heard that before? 😉🙂 ), and luck turned up! 👍👍👍
@AShotOfWildlife2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Graham. I'm never sure if I should reference the source everytime I mention making myself available to luck lol. I've wanted to use myriad for ages and I managed to get it wrong! What word will I mess up next? The follower shots were by Fred from WatchRWildlife, you can hear me saying his name when he spotted the snow buntings 10ft from my very eyes.

@@AShotOfWildlife Ha ha! No need to credit me on the "available to luck" expression. I nicked it from elsewhere myself! 🙂

Thank you so much for this super ambient video! The story about waders is incredible, are there any other famous success stories in conservation of birds in the UK?

Fantastic video on this. However, every native norfolkian in north norfolk knows that we call Cley not 'Clay'. Its pronunouced locally as 'Cl-eye'. Lol.
@AShotOfWildlife Жыл бұрын
Cheers Shane. There's definitely a divide in opinion about the pronunciation. I deliberately do the less common as its a conversation starter. I wonder how the vikings would have pronounced it...
