I have tough time to come up after dropping back. Tried to come up, feeling only one side and not balance, any advice Kino? Will try the tips in this video and hope to get it one day!

Thank you so much Kino for all these videos, they're really helpful and I can't believe all the effort you put into them. I have a question about backbends though. I've done them for two months, and as I have an extremely flexible back they're easy for me to do. Can this flexibility cause me some trouble (back pain etc. because of the pressure on the lower back) in the future? Is it safe to make backbends as deeply as I'm doing now, as it's not causing me any pain (yet)? Greetings from Helsinki

Kino - can you do a video regarding weight lifting and yoga? I'm transitioning from mostly weightlifting to mostly yoga...but do I have to lose my gains? ♥️🌞🙇

Kino, I always thought dropping back was part of another series because I've never seen it done in my Primary series class and it is not a part of the Ashtanga videos I use (David Swenson, Sharath's etc). Do you know the reason for this? Should dropping back eventually be done instead of "regular" Urdva Dhanurasana in the practice?

Great demo! The drop back isn't so much my issue as the standing up. If dangling in midair is the "midway" point for drop backs, what is a good way to work toward standing up? Thanks!

this really helped me with my backbend ( i call it a bridge though) what should I do when my lower back starts to hurt? i'm in cheerleading and its been hurting for a while got any advice?

Why must we rock? I feel unstable when I rock and lose the strength. Can we try to come up by applying bandha?

Very clear question, i do however still have a question. Wich muscles do you use for the strength to get back up in mid position and after that to full standing position? I usually use the muscles in my back i think because they are stronger than in my belly, but in my dance classes we call this type of movement a cambré and the strength should come from the belly. What is ther right way in yoga?

Hi kino i can do the drop back but my heels cant help but lifted when drop back. Is this becos my back is not flexible enough?

Kino, how long did it take you to learn how to get up? I have not too much trouble with dropping back, but getting up... I do get up, but i dont do it correctly. Im getting more and more frustrated with myself. I know what to do but for whatever reason i cant apply it. Maybe you could do a video on how to deal with frustration in yoga ;)

I know I'm not Kino, but I can share from my own experience. ;-) Typically, after primary series, you can do 3 regular backbends and then come to standing after the 3rd one. Then, you do 3 standing dropbacks. Exhale, bringing your hands to the floor, inhale coming up. This isn't typically done in a led class, perhaps because of time, etc...but is usually done during self-practice.

Hi Kino! I can see the floor already but i fell to head backward faster than i could extend my arms to the floor. What did i do wrong? I have been practicing with the backbend i think i should try to go further by dropping back

Send your hips forward more to counterbalance.

I can do this,but,everytime i'm about to go all the way down,i get scared and go back up immediately,i guess i'm scared of not being able to go back up if i touch the floor

my lower back hurts while bending, I can't go all the way down because it hurts so much. pressing harder doesn't help. what goes wrong? can you help me?
