It took me two years of consistent practice, but I was finally able to do this in the center of the room today. This video helped me so much. When I built the strength to just transfer the weight versus jump, the fear went away and I was able to move away from the wall. Thanks Kino!

Kino, thank so much for your inspiration. I have been practicing everyday and today I did a forearm stand with out the wall. I wish someone could have seen the smile on my face. I even did a few more times thinking it was a fluke. I feel so amazing right now. Thank you so much for your videos.

If it's the muscles in the upper back that might be necessary strengthening. Be careful not to stress the corners of the shoulders but work safely by strengthening the muscles to support the posture.

Hello Kino. Im starting to practice forearm balance again. When I first learned it a long time ago, I just swing my leg up with the wall behind me. I'm like wow, I didn't know that I can come into forearm balance pressing into any variation. I was taught to swing up with the wall behind me. I didn't have the shoulder strength, and I slumped more. That's the only method I knew to come up. I'm learning to come up the right way.

This is a tough pose. I'm almost there. The advice of not jumping is crucial as that is what I'm trying to get better at. There's so much going on here so it definitely takes practice. Thanks for the video Kino.

Hey Kino! I love your videos - especially how they come out like rapid fire on my twitter feed. Question about the very first exercise in this video, just lowering your elbows to the ground from plank. It seems like my shoulders just don't rotate that way yet, when I bend them from plank it's practically impossible to lower them straight back and down - they always end up bending out to the side and it generally feels pretty weird. Is this just my body or will my shoulders eventually open?

Namaste. Thank you for this video. I have one question. When coming down, you suggested to bend at the waist. Did you mean to bend at the hips? Would bending at the waist introduce strain on the spine (posterior vertebrae) as it would be supporting the weight of the legs in a flexed position?
