Love this song and Red Dead Redemption. It's a sad song but also has a brink of hope to me. Hold on there, doomers, we can make it.

At least RDR2's Epilouge had a hopeful ending...we all know what's coming, but at least we see John happy. RDR1's Epilouge was just straight depression. Jack has literally no one left. All of his family is dead, he's a young man with no one to look to for support. Truly gave me a case of Red Dead Depression
@flame-engulfedcowboy69783 жыл бұрын
And in killing Ross, Jack becomes exactly what John never wanted him to be; a criminal, a murderer. Meaning that anyone who becomes close to Jack will feel the pain Jack felt when John died, as Jack will eventually meet his father's same fate. Because John killed Micah to avenge Arthur, himself, and the fallen gang members, he got found and killed. And there's not a doubt in my mind that Jack will be found eventually as well. Making a loop of suffering, caused by the "looking back" that Arthur told John not to do, and in turn, John told Jack not to do.
@kassian_fps2 жыл бұрын

You know what's the saddest part of this song? The fact that they DID end up taking away Jack's will to live. It's why I can't feel any hope from this. Hope is a nice thought, but life has other plans sometimes.

Why is this song hitting me so much harder than all the other songs you've shared? Doomer music usually just puts me in a state of melancholy, but listening to this I'm actually getting choked up. Maybe its just the hopeful message behind the lyrics that resonate with me.

Secret ending: Zero good honor left, Psycho Arthur Morgan got TB, but never learned to regret his actions and despite his heart always felt diferent he chose to go for the money instead of helping John, giving like that, his dead redemption for being so greedy, stabbed in the back by Micah thinking in all the good chats Arthur had in the past while the night hits the top knowing its his real last goodbye before sleeping for ever.
