Yes, Skinny Skinny is about body dysmorphia. And the whole album is about everything he has faced so far (like even depression). I think you should analyze the lyrics a bit more (for each song) they are so deep and meaningful that they are worth reading them even for hours. Ashton took a very brave step when he released an album like this, and I appreciate the fact that this wasn’t made for great success and chart-topping. He just wanted to express his feelings and talk about though and important topics like body dysmorphia, and the list goes on. I love Ashton and Superbloom with all my heart, and I'm still so proud of him. Can't wait for Luke's project!

I absolutely love this reaction. Along with steven in stereo you both just seem to understand completely what Ashton is trying to say. And you appreciate and dissect every word with such great understanding and it's amazing. You wholeheartedly love each aspect of each song and makes me happy to know that there are people treating his album the way it should be treated. He deserves the amount of respect you always give him no matter what it is. You should also look into his live concert. He put the entire concert as well as each individual song on his channel. It would be great if you could do each individual one( thate only if it's easier for you). Luke also had a live version of his song motion and it's really amazing(I'm definitely not meaning to take away from ashton at this moment I just think everyone in the band that is putting solo music out deserves a fighting chance to be heard)

I love this album with all my heart, I feel so identified by every single song, I think it is my favorite album of all time and greyhound is definitely my favorite song I even tattooed the title in my hand. Edit 1: Ashton wrote the album during quarantine and totally disappeared while doing it. He released the album on October 23. Edit 2: Ashton did a ig live on release day and he explained the meaning song by song. If you want to see it I'm sure it's on KZbin

This album is pretty much impossible to not fall immediately in love with. Ashton Irwin and Matt Pauling are incredible artists individually. Put them together..... it's out of this world. So happy for them and grateful that they share their talents with the world! Drive is probably my favorite track, really only because that kind of sad bop perfect for jamming in the car is my favorite type of song. As you said though, the diversity of this album, the deep lyrics, the fantastic and innovative use of instruments, and Ashton's vocals make this an epic masterpiece. The whole album has so much soul to it, like it feels like a living breathing vulnerable piece of someone that they are willingly giving to you, at first some songs I felt like I was listening to something I shouldn’t cuz they all felt all too personal, but I just couldn’t stop, so you do your best, and I totally get the feeling of being exhausted, I think it’s because this whole album is a masterpiece and just as I said a living piece, like the feelings that you get with each song are living organs, and it feels like you felt it all, like this long journey that took him years and years, all the lessons, the pain and the feels are bottled up in here and they become part of you while listening to the album so all the exhaustion that comes from this very long journey that may have taken a life time, you get to go on on less than an hour...

This album means so much and is so relatable for me and it came at a perfect time for me and I just am so obsessed with it.
