I’ve come around on drafting Jeanty but idk. I actually feel like DL is quite important too? Bears DBs are great but their run defense was horrible this season. To me, Jeanty is only the right pick if he is generational the way people say he could be. Otherwise, the bears are better off building through the trenches this entire draft.

With Ben Johnson and coaching with the same personnel the sack numbers would be down significantly as the problems pertain more to coaching not player personnel. Therefore, If we can get a few offensive linemen in free agency Ashton Jeanty seems more intelligently acquirable. Honestly I have no problem with drafting an offensive lineman or a defensive lineman with the number 10 pick. Again if we can put some big names on both sides of the ball with free agency in the trenches Ashton maybe what we could get! Also, there are some good running back free agents this year!

This is how i see it: yes o line is more of a need at 10 for chi and typically you wouldnt draft an rb that high, but i think jeanty is that good of a prospect, kind of like gibbs going 12. I feel like you cant pass up on a prospect as good as him. Theres o line talent in every draft and this kids the most hyped rb since bijan:)

As a Bears fan I of course would love for Jeanty to be on the team but taking him at 10 would be pretty wild. This is a very deep RB class this year so we could grab an elite-very good RB later in the draft while still getting guys at more premium value positions. We would have to have a killer free agency solidifying the offensive line and edge rusher #2 in order to justify taking a RB so early.
