Carl Palmer had always played in front of the measure. He pushed the tempo. You did a wonderful job of capturing both the down beat, with the detailed accents. You found a sweet spot with your X-HAT, giving Carl Palmer's style of playing, incorporating the X-HAT was brilliant. It really put the his trade-mark playing up front. Nice job, well done. Excellent. The KISS T-SHIRT was the leverage you added, with Dressed to Kill.

Awesome cover on this Asia classic. Your timing is excellent; especially at 2:12 coming out of the drum fill to the cowbell and back to the rhythm. I know Palmer has a traditional grip on his sticks so it was cool to see you do it with a matched grip. Keep up the great work!

Firstly, you are AMAZING. I am a beginner drummer and I cannot even try this song so I wanted to say that you did an unbelievable job w it. My second point is simply why in the world would the drummer of this band mix 3/4 time w 4/4 time and do so many odd weird things including so much syncopation and use of oddly timed four pedals. The only part I can is when it finally goes to chorus and a standard rock beat in 4/4 time is played. Unfortunately, most of the song is everything but that. Why not just a nice standard 4/4 rock beat throughout entire song so it’s so much easier to play and for audiences to follow along with? As a beginner drummer, I will never understand why musicians complicate things to the point you have to be a professional to play it or even understand it. At any rate, you absolutely nailed it, unbelievable drummer you are, great job!

You know John, some people feel rhythm differently. It worked for them on this song for sure! But I'm also more of a 4/4 guy, with a a little 3/4 sprinkled in.
