On this I absolutely agree. Nomad Capitalist has made this observation about KL several times as well. It is very difficult for a city to deliver all three of the following: 1) Generally good "city" offerings (public infra, entertainment, safety) 2) Relatively cheap by global city standards 3) Can get by with only speaking English Many other cities in this region (Bangkok, Singapore, Manila etc) and beyond (Istanbul, etc) can only deliver 2/3 of these. Easily the best place to retire to or work remotely from for someone from a wealthier country. Please note that I am talking about KL specifically, not Malaysia in general (everything gets worse outside greater KL).

We love to keep it low profile. For the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We don't need to talk our value. Let them came and feel it. Some may love it, some may hate it. Because the alcohol is expensive here than bali/Thailand in comparison. We lack of wild party activity and so on. Some travellers may also hate the sounds of azan. Which is we are very proud of. We can azan 5 times a day so no syaitan to come near. 😅... Love your video. Much love!!!

I visited KL for the first time last month, the only complaint I have is some women who work and has bit of Authority are very rude example the lady’s at customs and those selling train tickets are rude and not helpful if you ask first directions. I had a $20 note with me to buy train ticket she would not take $20 saying she does not have change and I can could see the till is full of change. Another incident was we were at the bus terminal waiting for a bus to go to Malaka the bus was delayed and no announcements. After about 45 minutes of waiting a Korean lady got up and ask politely what time the bus will come to a lady who was in charge, she responded with “go and sit down now”

here is a little tip from Malaysian to all those who find the heat here unbearable :- 1. wear natural material clothes, cotton/linen soak the sweat and more breathable and cool to the skin. 2. Please shower daily, 😅 you literally step into sauna everytime you go outside, you sweat- keep yourself cool and clean. you are not only doing your body a favor, but also people around you 🤭 3. Hydrate! we have an array of isotonic drink (coconut water), Luo Hon Go, Crysanthemum, the choice are endless to keep your body cool. 4. please wear sunscreen and cover your skin- we on the equator guys, especially those who are not entirely blessed with melanin in your genes. As a Malaysian, I'm glad to see someone who finally appreciates our country. However, I would also appreciate it if fewer people were to immigrate here. I like the cheap food, the subsidised petrol, electricity, and water. And I don't want an increase in demand (with an influx of people) to ruin that. Malaysia is ultimately a small country and we tread a delicate balance. We already punch far above our weight economically. And I'd like that to last.

Well this is the mentality that shall ensure that no Muslim country would ever equate to the US or Canada or UK or many other small European countries who welcome people of all different ethnicities from all over the world and every year people get naturalised and get passports. And us Muslims countries have skewed visions, if some one was to buy a house in Malaysia or a flat or a car that person would bring it decent amounts of investments and a job would guarantee taxes for the Government. Malaysia like all Muslim countries has a horrible naturalization program wherein getting a passport is a herculean task. So no wonder we are where we are and the west is where it is

There are a few things you will never hear in her videos. Hope this helps 🙂: - 1) Malaysian government's residency program MM2H is complex and has made it almost impossible for foreigners to attain residency. 2) For the above reason she will never name or recommend any solicitors in KL who can help you get residency through MM2H. 3) Foreigners investing in Malaysia are subject to a flat 30% tax on the income generated in Malaysia. And so, the ROI is very low. 4) Foreigners have to purchase a property worth a minimum of 1 Million MYR subjecting them to highly inflated prices. Example: A property worth MYR 300,000 to a Malaysian Citizen will be offered to a Foreigner at 1 Million MYR. 5) Even if you buy a 1 Million MYR property at such inflated prices, there is no guarantee you will get Malaysian Residency. 6) The average salary in Malaysia is very low. Sometimes it is only just enough to survive. 7) At the time of exit, investors will be stuck with a property they cannot sell unless they are ready to incur huge losses. 8) The weather is extremely humid and unbearably hot most of the times. Especially in the day time.

What is the point of boasting about an overrated city with the world's tallest buildings and grand mosques dedicated to the islamic religion, when the poverty rate among the indigenous Orang Asli population remains alarmingly high at 80%. Many continue to live in extreme poverty. The ethnic Indian community, in particular, is disproportionately affected by government neglect, leading to high illiteracy rates, rampant gang crime, and widespread addiction.

See there is many indian doctors in Malaysia clinics etc. Also indian shops and traders. U go to little Indian also U go to see nasi kandar mostly is indian and they even imported indian workers to work and not hired the local U check zubaidah pelita see who's the workers even kapitan. 😊still govt close the eyes. In Japan priority to local ppl to work in restaurants only chef U can import. 😅 U go little India and see U see who did the trade herbs to this country if not indian lol 😂 nah and U still complaining. I think maybe in future the king should remove the kerakyatan. Because U guys complaining alot. U guys forgot the agreement that Ur ancestors made here with the Malay king. Who is the one fight with the 4 colonies? Portugese , Dutch Japanese and British. U tell me. And here U still complaining and chasing the one that protect this country and fought for this country out 😂. Seems U don't even know this country history. The problem with indian if they drink alcohol they will be addiction then other crimes follow later. I have indian friend who is successful and not complaining blaming govt. Also nice person and Malay support him in his business. Malay is simple U good they good to U. U like this then U go out is better. The point U don't know that the king have to accept indian and chinese and give them citizenship for this country independence and as exchange this two ethnic cannot complain about Malay speciality and the royal. Since U are complaining the about this is better U go out and be a citizen in another country. This has been in the agreement between your ancestors and the king. That is simple. Just to remind U about Malaysia's independence. Seems U don't even know this then U are not deserve to be a citizen at all . U know what is rukunnegara or not ?

Indonesians are like the relationship between Pakistan and India. Never kind to one another. Malaysia and Indonesia are the products of divorced parents. Two siblings but brought up in two different households. This is the result. Bickering non stop!
