Wow, almost forgot about this one. I like that song but had to Google the info cause I don't keep up on artist much after my era 1980's. So its from 2012. He's English & considered an Indie folk style singer. Big hit for him.

This song was a massive hit. He’s actually a little bit cynical about it he jokes that he’s written 14 albums in that this is the only song anybody knows. A lot of the stuff tends to be fairly dark but he’s a really talented songwriter. And you’re right about his voice. I’ve never heard anybody else that sounds just like him, but I like it.

Sometimes letting someone go hurts more than them staying. The worst feeling is realizing that you weren't as important to someone as they were to you. And then they go away. But if you truly love them you have to let go. Selfish love will try to keep someone in a place they don't want to be. Selfless love will let them go to be happy in their life even if it is without you in it. It still hurts. More than a year latter now.
