It woke something up in me that was probably there all along just waiting for the right time to come out. I can feel it, this song has awaken the sleeping giant world wide. Once we as citizens come together as one the elite few will be on numbered days. Everyone ought to send their congressman and senators a link to this artist and remind them that you sent them to DC to address the things that Oliver Anthony is singing about. It's not enough to just be touched by this song...get Anthony's voice in front of the Rich Men North of Richmond; it won't change the world in a minute, but unless people CONTINUE to speak up, vote, write letters, organize or participate in protests, make phone calls and stand in solidarity, literally, with others, then nothing is going to change. This GREAT NATION is not perfect, but it's what we have, and there are ways to change the system, but the system is to be participated in, not simply observed. Nothing is free, Freedom is not free, if you don't like what you see, then figure out a way to let your voice be heard. If you continue to say nothing because you think your voice won't change anything, then you've already given up. Thank you Asia and BJ for reacting to this video. PHC USNavy Ret Vet

One veteran to another, do we believe that the elites actually care one bit about protests and letters? They used to present a facade of caring, but they have become openly authoritarian and disdainful of regular working people. They are the Nobility and we are the peasants. The Nobility doesn't give a hoot about the gripes of the peasants until thier door is getting kicked in. We had to literally fight our own government the last time things got like this, we call it a revolution. We've had ONE guy stand up to the establishment since I've been alive, and we see what they are trying to do to him now. It is an open threat against anyone opposing them. Call me Black Pilled, but I don't see that letters or "peaceful protest" will do anything. And you can't vote your way out of tyranny. Our options are getting extremely limited and the time to change things is running out.

If you feel that you have nothing to lose, then you are in a lot of ways free as a bird, being that you can’t take anything with you anyway. My wife and I moved cross-country from Oregon to Florida in 2016, and we made the most of it by turning it into the Great American Road Trip. If anyone thinks that we are facing insurmountable differences in our country, get in a car and drive 2,000 miles in any direction, and stop every two hundred miles or so and talk to people. You will find a lot more people like you than not like you, because most people are like most people. They feel the same pain you do. The people you will meet at a tiny gas station in the middle of nowhere are nothing like what the people on television will tell you they are like. They're just like you.

What this song and your reaction shows is that we all have a lot more in common than those in power lead us to believe! This song may be the Anthem of our time because it's resonates with absolutely everyone, no matter what your background! Would be nice if it united us all, finally!

They were showing pics of different people listening to Oliver Anthony's song and how it resonates with people of all races, all different backgrounds, all over the globe. I yelled when I saw your pic among others I follow on youtube. Thank you so much for making a difference in my life when I'm feeling down or alone.

I'm an Empath and this song is like crack to me. 😊 I can feel what he feels and it's like passionate desperation with a little bit of hope. I can feel this song in my soul. It's both beautiful and tragic at the same time. Also: my Rottweiler for some reason I am not aware of has decided that he loves this song. He's never shown any interest in music but he lays by the speaker whenever it plays. It's sweet actually. He can probably feel it like I do.

People can make it day by day or paycheck to paycheck. Most of us can relate because we’ve been there. When you take away hope for a better future though it can be unbearable. I think that’s what this song is saying to me. We look around and can’t honestly say we think it’s going to get any better. Great reaction as always👍👍

I remember when I was about 11, driving with the fam, cross country. A gas station, before the swamps in Florida. 32 cents a gallon. My parents bought a house, on Bellaire Blvd, one of the most important streets in Houston 4 bedroom, master bedroom, with attach garage apartment. 1/3 acre lot. 29k . Almost every problem in America, is tax related, including social problems. No marriage, divorce, streets raising our kids, low birth rate, mental psychological problems, lack of God church morals responsibility accountability patriotism, distrust of government, u name it. This guy is dead on! Amazing a voice and writer out there, just hidden, like this. In case u haven't heard, this guy was a nobody Farmer. Sang in his backyard, to his dogs. And wrote and sang this old school government protest song. It's now been listened to worldwide, in a few days, more than any other song in history. And he's been streamed on Twitter and Spotify, and got multiple record deals pending, and John Rich wants to handle everything for him. A former alcoholic drug addict , non God believer. Told God on his knees, u get me sober, I'll change my whole life, in 30 days. Here u go!

There is a frustration in his voice and message that is eluding to being taxed from the Rich in our Government and that we are paying for programs that people are abusing and milking the system. We the taxpayers are working for all those programs on top of being taxed heavily by the Government so we don't get anywhere in our own lives or be able to support or families. It is a vicous cycle that we the working man can't win, no matter how much we work.

the 2nd part is. The first part if you look up the lyrics is spelled miners/ second is minor. He is referring to miners cause he is in Virgina/w virgina mining country and he also speaks in his self interview about human traff- of minors. Double meaning and play on words. Which I think is genius. @@rexkimberley9537

I watched a video of some Lady in Africa doing a reaction to this song last night and she cried severely! Talking about how much she connected with this song. It’s amazing how we’re all so much alike and in the same circumstances. The lady in Africa is connecting with this good old boy in Virginia out in his yard playing a tune! That’s why we should never judge people because we are all going through it!
