Daniel, I believe that the current situation is a result of there being five major ethnic groups living in one country. There are bound to be disagreements, and even violence sometimes, given the huge spectrum of views represented in this country. I also believe that the pandemic has driven many people crazy, and that they are literally now "at the end of their ropes." I believe that the current attacks against Asians are actually attacks against the cultural norms that allowed the pandemic to occur in the first place.

As an asian american this angers me, just when I thought i could move past it, it all hits me in the face again. my grandmother, got her house shot at in San Francisco last year at the start of this pandemic, when the previous admin termed it "china virus, king flu, etc" she and my family members who lived there. 4 additional adults and a one year old INFANT child were inside the house when someone shot towards the second story window where everyone congregates, yelled " dirty slants" and drove off... I know it is just hateful individuals, but it takes time to distance that anger from.myself.

I saw this report and african american who runs a KZbin news channel want through the video clips and discovered that some of these clips are 10 year's old. Thses are sick individual's yes, but don't say all african american are assaulting chinese that behavior is localized to a specific area, to specific street, to specific community, to a specific individual's committed by a specific individual. I live in Ohio I never meet anyone that was chinese. I've never meet a Japanese or Pacific islander either. So The reporter was saying chinese people have the talk with their children do you mean in the sense like police are killing them the reporter was saying chinese people have the [talk with their children] she meant do you mean in the sense like police are killing them. The same way the african american experience police killing of african american!? So is the chinese community and chinese actors trying to state that [african american have a KKK GROUP within my race and culture!?] That african american as a culture and race are a inherently racist group!? Is this reporter falsifying the accuracy of chinese raise in the level of assults when news reports first aired chinese individual's where being assaulted by caucasians americans. Now individual who natural culture and race are african american, who I think are mental unbalanced individual's that have committed crimes against individual's that are chinese yes that is accurate. But chinese actor's and the chinese community are putting all or majority of the assults on my entire culture and race. [The commentator and actor's spoke very broadly about this.] ABC NEWS should retract that broad statement. Majority of my family has never made a Chinese person and we think nothing like this! Your insane to believe all African Americans are experiencing emotional hatred on the national scale. The LA riot the chinese were fighting off Mexicans, Puerto rican not african american that was in 1992 really. Don't I have bigger problems with the Yakuza (Japanese: ヤクザ, IPA: [jaꜜkɯza]), also known as gokudō (極道, "the extreme path", IPA: [gokɯꜜdoː]), are members of transnational organized crime syndicates originating in Japan. The Japanese police, and media by request of the police, call them bōryokudan (暴力団, "violent groups", IPA: [boːɾʲokɯꜜdaɴ]), while the yakuza call themselves ninkyō dantai (任侠団体/仁侠団体, "chivalrous organizations", IPA: [ɲiŋkʲoː dantai]). The English equivalent for the term yakuza is gangster, meaning an individual involved in a Mafia-like criminal organization.[2] The yakuza are known for their strict codes of conduct, their organized fiefdom nature, and several unconventional ritual practices such as yubitsume, or amputation of the left little finger.[3] Members are often described as males, wearing "sharp suits" with heavily tattooed bodies and slicked hair.[4] This group is still regarded as being among "the most sophisticated and wealthiest criminal organizations"

I've been talking about this issue for years here in Canada as a black person since I noticed injustices against the Asian community (Especially at my school). Every time I did though, I would be ridiculed by people in my schools (Part of it to do with my age as well as I'm still not even 18 yet). Maybe I am still too young, but I wanna do something where I can create a group or movement for all people of different backgrounds and races to come together and talk about racism and you know, create something to abolish racism for everyone. I'm writing this because I almost always hear about racism against us Blacks, and more light needs to be shed on racism against other races. My friend and I have recently been thinking about trying to start something, but we don't know where to start.

Growing up in Santa Ana, I went to school with, and had neighbors and friends who are Asian. An Asian elderly man once saved brother and I from getting kidnapped. We were playing in the side walk about two doors down from the house. Suddenly two men in mask jump out of a van and run towards my brother and I. We scream and run towards this man's house who opens the door with a bat in his hand telling us to run. When we get there he yells at them and closes the door and locks it. He asks us if we are okay. I remember looking out window of his home as they drove off. If it was not for this brave man, I don't know what would have happened to us. The man did call the police and called my mom. We did move from that area, even now I have Asian friends and co workers. They are great people.

In order for a murder charge to have a successful conviction, it has to be proven that it was his intent to kill the victim. I just don’t remember this level of outrage and claims of hate crimes flying around when 45 was calling this “The China virus” and “Kung flu” further perpetuating violence and intimidation against AA. Videos of non blacks harassing them ,being verbally, even physically abusive. Were there not blatant subliminal go aheads to mistreat these people then? Where was this energy then? I find that since it seems to be a black person who unfortunately killed this man , it’s being heavily portrayed now as a hate crime. Bills being signed and passed for protection I get it but, I just can’t help but wonder if the perpetrator were a white kid would it be this much outrage, or would it be just another case of some stupid white kids trying to bring the knock out game back? Racism was back at a 10 the minute that man was voted into office? Where were those bills of protection against the most hated people in this country the? Before c19? Apparently it’s not just black people terrorizing Asians, but it definitely is the front page focus that has everyone’s eyes peeled IMO black people have endured an insurmountable amount of abuse from this country for hundreds of centuries, more than every racial group in this country COMBINED. The same country who’s foundation was built and cultivated by hate, racism and division is the same country signing bills of protection for a certain group that was publicly given the encouragement and ok to mistreat. I’m sure my people would like a Bill of protection against brutality of EVERY kind, but then that means acknowledgement and accountability of some kind would be mandatory now wouldn’t it? So no, I’m not ignorant to their plight. It’s relevant, but there’s more than one way to skin a cat. I think, I ask questions, I read between the lines and I analyze. So, If you feel that it’s “ignorant” , me looking deeper than what some sensationalism, lord of confusion, fear mongering addicted media is throwing out to the masses, cool that’s your prerogative. It is clear to me that ethnic groups are treated vastly different from one another in this country especially in the faces of adversity and injustice and that is one thing I am definitely not ignorant of.
