@@nikki3355 Yes, a wife to clean after his mess, if he works 16-18 hours a day and wife stay home and get loads oss money to stay home take care of home, children and husband. My dad who worked 16-18 hours, 7 days a week for decades, did not had time or afford to do things home. One hour in the garden for him would be 1000´s of dollars in income loss. My mum solved it by hiring people, because she is lazy upper class lady. At least she solved tasks who was needed to be done so my dad could make millions for his family, without being interrupted chasing income (security/resources) for the family. @isabellepark85785 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised that the professor thinks that the unwelcoming attitude towards families with mail-ordered brides is only due to sexism and xenophobia. It often has got nothing to do with the fact that those brides are from South-East Asia. Most locals have no respect towards these sexist, old men with disgusting values and bad temper, and when a mixed family is excluded in a social situation, it is almost always because of the annoying husband. Not a single man in this video considered values or interests when they were looking for a wife. They all wanted someone young and pretty so that their friends can be jealous... says a lot about them (and why no one wants to marry them). I just feel sorry for these brides and the kids and wish the situation was better for them.

At the same time, it is completely unacceptable in South Korea for South Korean women to have a boyfriend or husband who is not Korean. Also, the women who marry South Korean men are completely expected to learn to speak and be literate in Korean and acculturate themselves into the South Korean culture. For the men here, women look for: a guy with half a nice face with a nice good enough humor and attitude towards life. Who is going to be nice to them and has decent salary.. (However the humor is NON negotiable, and a decent salary most of the time is what is set for the range). Also women look for companionship as people. (hence the humor and treating as nice as can be, along with the man having an attitude towards life). Companionship is compromise .

The high alcohol abuse is certainly not helping. I keep seeing various docs about Korea. Essentially the men drink after work with a few admitting it's too much. The gender inequality as women are wanting rights & men in men's right groups have shown hostility toward them. A unisex bathroom near a train station & cafes, six men came in but when a young woman went in, a man had been lying in wait, trapping her in a bathroom stall & proceeded to stab her in an enraged attack. He had no remorse as she deserved it. Incels in Korea. The next doc was about the high rate of suicides, especially among older people. Many resort to a bridge over a river. In the farm land areas, they swallow pesticides. It's sad. And now this. You in your own countries, while we don't understand each other's languages, we seem to have the same hurtful issues. I believe all of us just want to have peacefulness, love, families & friends with dignity & respect. The one thing that stood out to me was the majority had girls. I hope they will find what I just mentioned above. 🍃🕊🍃
