Who wants the blues?? If you didn't have to deal with your "blues" would you say "wait, bring them back!! I want to deal with difficult ish!" Ppl need to quit finding reasons to complain and make issues out of everything. I'm black, but also sick of the whining over things that aren't even an issue. Let's focus on real issues and not search the floor with a magnifying glass for tiny little fibers.

@@Army_Brat1980 that's not how it works hun. You have that same energy for the thug street style so many in the black community have long "emulated"? Lol, so should they all want the blues of street life...to actually be gunned down on the street, profiled like a criminal? Lol, bet you're hypocrite behind is trying to think of ways to justify that 😅. Quit trying to micromanage other ppls lives, like you hold some authority over culture. Ppl can be inspired by & adopt whatever styles they want & to whatever degree they want. Worry more about yourself, and whine less about a stranger's hair. Thanks.

@@asideofaioli4630 its the fact that nobody acknowledges the privilege they have of not being as harshly judged when they partake in black culture vs when we do it. Nor do they take the time to respect or understand the culture and what its people REALLY have been going through even to this day. They like our looks but most of these people could not care less about the actual people.

for centuries we went to great lengths to make our hair resemble "ideal beauty" . So I take this as a compliment. The more we have embraced our natural hair the more it is appreciated for how beautiful it really is. So... Let him know what its like to avoid water like the plague...it won't last long 😂

I wouldn't call it a compliment, because these same people that want to imitate black hairstyles, copy black trends and take pieces of black culture, are the same people that have no respect for black people and refuse to see them as actual people. The amount of anti-blackness in Asian countries is disgusting. But yet they wanna wear black hairstyles. 🤨 Sure, they want to wear our hairstyles, but then they'll turn around and act like they are above us. You don't get to pick and choose parts of black culture but then disrespect the people associated with that culture. That's not how this works.

Celebrated. He's has not committed cultural appropriation. He didn't claim that he came up with the style. He has not stolen. We all pick up from other cultures. What is your opinion of Seal or Darius Rucker, Seal, Tina Turner, Bobby Caldwell, Tina Marie, or Lenny Kravitz? Is that appropriation? Sometimes, we like what we like and celebrate it. Would it be nice if people knew the history and pay homage? Yes. Now, on the other hand, the false narrative of Christopher Columbus or what's happening in Egypt is cultural appropriation. To take from one and claim as yours.

It's funny how Asian cultures LOVE black culture and always turn to black people for the latest trends and designs, but when it comes to actually respecting black people and giving credit where it's due, they fall short. The world loves black culture and black trends, black designs, black hairstyles and anything that black people have. But when it comes to respecting black people and actually seeing them as people and NOT getting pissy whenever a piece of media features a black protagonist, they want nothing to do with them. 😒

Funny enough, I've seen people do random interviews, stories and documentaries with Asians who style their hair to adopt black culture, and all of them spoke with love and admiration, and were highly educated about the origins of the style they had and they made it known who their black inspirations are, and speak on how they resonate with that person and spoke against how black people are treated. When asked how having these styles affected them, the majority of them expounded on how strongly they were discriminated against in their societies. Lost their girl, can't get a job, called out by elders, abandoned by family etc. Yet they go through it because the love runs deep. Anyone willing to endure the black treatment and who emulates from a place of love and appreciation will get a pass from me. It's not always hate.

The issue is that the cultures that try to adopt black hairstyles don't actually respect black people or see them as people. I wouldn't care if these other races actually respected black people. But they don't. They are very anti-black, yet they have the nerve to wear our hairstyles and take pieces of our culture and treat it like a trend and costume. It's about looking "cool" to them, not truly appreciating black culture or black people. However, when black people wear different hairstyles, wigs and so on, it's about acceptance and survival. Natural hair has been vilified for so long and it's still seen as "messy" and "unprofessional" in some countries. So why in the hell do other races get to wear our hairstyles that hold historical and cultural significance, but when we want to wear our own hairstyles that are part of our culture, we get discriminated against? It doesn't make a lick of sense! The difference between a black person wearing a wig vs an Asian person wearing cornrows or locs, is that the Asian person does not understand the historical and cultural significance of those hairstyles, nor do they understand how hard we had to fight to be _allowed_ to wear our natural hair in the workplace or at school. They just wear it because it looks "cool" and it's a "trend" to them. Black culture is not a trend and other races are not entitled to it just because the world wants to exploit and profit off of black culture while continuing to disrespect, discriminate, murder, vilify and be outright disgusting towards black people because of our true history that dates back to pre-colonization and pre-slavery.

@Lazy you are confused by these similar sounding and descriptive words. Curly (your false education) and coily (true education) are two similar/ different things and ALL angels are melaninated . 1+1=2 if black people who are melaninated have coily hair, then it can be assumed angels who are melaninated have coily hair. @Mr. E corrupt? Definitely not especially in dna since there is no mutation. Sun deficient however is mutated and therefore corrupt. Now when you say the mind, that can be proven based on stolen and false history inputted into the minds. Asians are black. The native americans are black too. They both came from east africa. I know this because im part cheorkee and all natives came from east africa during stone age. I did the research and found out through this my people are from east africa. So technically im partially east african descendant because of the cherokees so the asians and native american share the exact same genes whom orginated from east africa. Look it up if you dont believe me because this video shows proof this is man is black; he just look different from us. I just feel like everytime I mention majority of yall don't wanna agree or accept that everybody is black , we all just look different from each other the way God wanted it to be. But mankind is so immature and prejudice not understand that because many of yall are brainwashed by those close to you( family, friends, environment and mainly social media-Goverment) to judge others and yourself by what's on the outside and not the inside( personality and heart- if they are good person at heart or bad).
