Oh god this is just what I needed. I lived in Bangkok before this and there were many japanese expats there so there were japanese supermarkets like Fuji Supa everywhere so it was easy to find the groceries I’m used to. But now in dubai I’ve lost so much weight because I’m not used to the food 😭

I actually find that Dubai offers a pretty decent lineup of international cuisine! But definitely check out these supermarkets for when you cook at home ✨

Omgggg this is just what I needed!! I'll definitely go to Chinatown in dubai mall.. I'm struggling to find instant dashi powder? And also cooking sake.. Anyways, Thank you for always bringing so much value on you videos!! 🫶

I haven’t been able to find dashi or 鶏ガラ系either! 😫 You won’t find cooking sake because of the alcohol content but I’ve heard they sell it at some licensed liquor shops! Thanks for the kind comment 🥰🫶🏼

@@suzukuri I actually found dashi at Almaya supermarket on Marina but it was a 500gr box and was around 50aed 😵‍💫 hehe Thanks for the info on where to find cooking sake!

@@yapparimairachan1465 Update!! I found dashi at 1004 Gourmet! 20 packs of 9g (tea bag type) for 21 dhs 😇👍🏼 and more expensive but they also had a large bag of hondashi for 150 aed. I think it must have been at least 1kg

I was just at Hawker Chan's the other day (first time), it's not bad (I had duck & noodles), not too expensive. I'll have to check out the stores there too...perhaps they have Biore face wash (brought in HK and now my go to). I tried in Watsons, but they had some offer on for "The most popular brand in Japan" - like, OK. There were many sales agents that descend on me as soon as I entered the store (I must have looked clueless). Now I realise what I should have been looking out for...Durian. I must try harder to find some when I'm back in Dubai. It's never good in the UK, and mostly expensive. Another interesting place is...Daiso! Have you been? They had Chair Socks!!!

I found Hawker Chan's quite good! Will try out the other restaurants next time😋 Wait, what was "the most popular brand in Japan" at Watsons? The sales staff at stores here always bombard you so don't worry it's not just you😅 Yes I can't resist going into Daiso whenever I come across one haha. The lineup is pretty impressive! I used to use the chair socks but my dog kept biting them off when she was a puppy so I gave up lol

@@suzukuri It was...Hada Labo Tokyo! They had a big display and said it was a today only special offer 🙄 Daiso had some cutesy (level 11 on a 1-10 scale) Japanese song playing the whole time 😄 don't visit if you're not prepared to remember it for the next few days. I'm still on a quest to find a fully remote position, the UK is making me sick (literally). I was fine when I was in Dubai. 🤒
