There is major flaw in this test. Hard start depends on the combination of nib, paper and ink. You used different inks. If you would change inks results could be completely different.

+alex mood I mentioned that the test is no perfect due to different inks. I didn't have time to prepare the test properly. Maybe I will do it again in the future. I doubt though that the results will be different with different inks. Those inks I am using have more than 95%water in composition the rest are dyes and surfactants that hardly have any influence on the evaporation rate of water. The drying of the nib is just due to poor construction of the cap and sealing of the cap.

These pens are perfection...

darker color on the blue black may indicate some evaporation of water in the ink. Still impressive you can leave them for 5 weeks, I always thought you had to consistently use them. Maybe screw caps are just very good for this.

Two guys both named René were sitting together and one of them was the co-René of the other. More seriously it is spelt Carène, not corené : my eyes itch!

I think Japanese pens are better made.

+alex mood the Japanese pens are close to perfection. I don't know how they manage it. But Carene and Pelikans are close to that too. I would give them five stars too.
