@@nyahrashae Many, many people can sing. Unless they can also write their own songs, they need a songwriter or a company. I do not understand why singers do not take songwriting classes. Otherwise, it is very hard to use their abilities to develop a unique career. They would only be able to do covers and that keeps you at Weddings and those type of events. Whoever wants a career as a singer needs to write her own songs or find someone who does.

Most jobs in USA that people get and that she would probably get are customer based or public serving and are all over the clock...So why is her reasoning that she didn't want a 9-5...? what does that mean..?? her schedule is even worse than that now...lol I do respect doing what you love instead of fitting into sh-tty capitalism but trying to be a singer is crazy enough...why Korean!? girl stop!! lmao

Foreigners always say that Koreans' preference for pale skin is a problem. Why is it not a problem for foreigners to prefer tanned skin? It is a problem for Koreans to prefer pale skin, but not for foreigners to prefer tanned skin? what is this double standard? And Koreans' preference for pale skin is no problem at all. Koreans can choose their preferences, and you're wrong to say it's a problem. Honestly, I don't understand. I have no complaints even if You think black skin is pretty and pale skin is ugly in your country. Isn't this more of an open mind than you're talking about? Rather than saying that the standard of Korean beauty is wrong? Why can't you do it like me? Why do you always say that Korean standards are wrong? All skin is pretty? Don't speak nonsense. People's preferences are natural. If this is wrong, Your tanned skin preference is wrong too. Don't force your standards on Koreans. You always talk like you're morally superior to Koreans, but honestly, that's really nonsense. I become dislike people like Hwasa because of you guys. Originally, I didn't have any thoughts about her. You always say this nonsense that Koreans are ignorant and should be educated, but what is really ignorant and should be educated is your standard armed with a rotten sense of moral superiority that "your standards are just and Korean standards are wrong."
@MsNG82

@@kalapasz because it bases itself to attain solely the European standard of beauty. For foreigners who are trying to break that mold and make things more equal and not just look one specific way, it goes against trying to look what you are meant to look like naturally and not diminish your unique traits to try to look like another group. I personally find Koreans with natural traits and skin tone better looking because when they’re too made up it looks fake. That’s just me though.

@@babyaskin9881 ya that's why I sometimes find it pretty scary fr what goes on in Korea and it's Soo different from the Western world. Like not only in the entertainment industry , the normal people there go through surgeries to change their own self to escape criticism and to match the society ideologies . In rest of the parts of the world we can't fancy such a huge number common people doing plastic surgeries . And I saw in several interviews " really thin" girls in Korea think that they are fat or the People call them fat so they go through an extreme diet and stuffs, but these girls if they go to some other country they will be considered perfectly shaped. And talking about idols it's really intimidating sometimes. Ive heard of fans calling out their idols if they have gained even a little amt of weight which is really unnoticeable . And thankfully that some of them have a huge number of global fans know who come in defence of the idols and bash those rude criticisms. It's really unhealthy. And as u were saying ...no it's not exactly the same in the entertainment industry other parts of the world , we see diverse looking artists who look different and are not that critised fr their weight or their nose etc . Like take for example Rihanna I'm sure she would also be forced to go through plastic surgery under peer pressure if she was in Korean entertainment 😂 because they don't acknowledge diversity right?

Our biggest entertainers are black males? Don’t you see a problem with black men only being acknowledged for entertainment value and athletic ability. If black people are so loved in the US why are we the most incarcerated, most killed, suffer from the most disparities in a 1st world country. Please use your brain and not speak on a entire group of people with your racial bias.

bryan smith first of all, Obama is a light skinned biracial man which makes all of the difference. Second of all, the everyday black man is not treated the same way millionaires like Kanye West are. The average black man is heavily criminalized, even most of the famous black men you listed made their success from taking the “gangster” and “thug” stereotypes and profiting off of them.

Most companies don't charge when they didn't debut.If they so, that's a easy lawsuit. And no companies ask trainees to pay before debut are scam. Bigger companies( stock listed) can't fool the revenue so please anyone who are interested in Kpop industry, aim for those companies. They have to use the "standard contract"(which was approved by fair trade commission) and most of them don't charge for the training even after debut( and some help trainees to get a job or send them to other big companies for the debut . Big companies pay for your house, transportation fees, and some allowance) Never go to the company where charge you the training fee before you debut. , that;s an obvious scam

l ASHHH yeah I think you are getting colorism and racism confused. But yeah that’s exactly what I’m implying because it’s facts 💀 I’m not speaking on colorism, I’m speaking on racism because that’s a racist situation. a white person would be more accepted than a black person in this situation because of their skin color and because they are white. If you never had this experience then don’t try to speak on it 💁🏾‍♀️ colorism is more likely to happen if you are a certain skin tone and disliked in your own ethinic group. Like darkskin vs lightskin or Brown skin vs darkskin. That’s colorism.

@Genevieve, I think there needs to be a consideration of the idea that South Koreans are absorbing the culture of Black Americans for economic growth but do not want to understand us. If a nation does not want to fully understand, then that is fine. Remove all the essence of our culture from your environment and then go from there. South Korea financially import and export with the USA. I don't believe their hand is being forced. Again, money is being made from black people culture. That being said, I don't see a problem in having a conversation about some of the issues we see from their country.

Even if she did get surgery, she'll still be 'too dark' and get lots of hate 😥 I admire her working towards her dreams but as a black girl myself, I would never want to be an idol in Korea, cause looks is what matters first. You can be the most talented but you'd get hate if you're considered ugly or fat. Look at Jihyo vs Tzuyu from Twice. Jihyo trained for 10 years, best singer in the group, leader, very expressive and energetic on stage....still got a lot of hate for many years. She lost weight but still only in the middle when it comes to popularity. Tzuyu, the visual, got in because of popularity and is overwhelmingly the most popular even though her talent is average and she lacks expression. Im thankful to be born in a place where hard work, passion, and talent matter more than looks
