The people who make such policies are forgetting that their own mothers took the decision to have them and thats why they are in this world.

I thought they spoke wrong English? 😅 The sentence itself is grammatically incorrect and it also doesn't sound natural. The more natural way he could say that is: I thought they spoke English incorrectly, or I thought they spoke poor English, or I thought their English was wrong. Learn English properly before you claim that your English is proper.

Consider the circumcision rate as being a possible factor. There are studies showing that circumcision has an impact on the ability to bond in animal studies. I do believe this has an overall impact on the happiness of the man, his wife, and the overall family unit. I mention this because I've heard that South Korea has adopted circumcision to almost the rate that US does it, and we seem to be afflicted with a similar rate of overall unhappiness.

Circumcision studies also show that the circ trauma resulted in children that were more sensitive to negative stimuli which could maybe impact one's ability to handle stress, and the impact on bonding could be affecting men's desire to help in child rearing.

To often mens health issues are seen as a patriarchal topic the dismisses women's rights, but circumcision is also impacting the health of women's relationships and their resilience. Men's body autonomy rights should be seen as women's rights to a healthy happy relationship, via having a fully healthy happy husband. Honestly we should be fighting for all of our rights, especially body autonomy rights, regardless of gender.

HE NAILED IT! THANK YOU SIR!! - American Woman. It's the same in the states, also he suggested to get a woman's pov, but his assumption/observation about a lot of men not stepping up and helping parent....no not showing up as the cool dad, but actually helping rear them....spot on her was. He is awesome for listening, a lot of men just blow woman's perspective off....as if being a mom is so easy. I'm chils free, for the reasons he mentioned.

I (female) can see both sides, and neither are wrong. If I had a company and invested everything in it, would I want to hire someone who can’t be there 100% whether it’s a man or a woman? I’m losing money for this person but they’re only putting in 50% of what is expected to keep the company running.. and since I can’t depend on them being at work like I need them to, their work is handed to other coworkers and it’s going to be a burden to them. Either way, it’s not fair for women or the companies.

I'm curious, so if what a woman wanted both, a high work position and children? Is surrogate pregnancy legal in Korea? Paying a poorer woman to carry the child throughout the entire pregnancy.

This is so sad. I know parents with many kids here in the US but majority of them go to the Latin mass, are conservative Christians who are courageous enough to follow what God said, go forth and multiply. The wife stays home and care for the family. Pray for Korea.

Welcome to the new worldwide corporatocracy. Governments around the world will reap what they sow. They made these billionaires more powerful than anything and now they will get less tax payers in the future because of the declining birth rate. It’s great they can hire AI Robots to do the work and also robots can buy their worthless products. Hahaha

I came back fascinated with the trip and I will definitely come back. I was in İstanbul, İzmir and Kuşadası ... Long live Türkiye..!!!... A big hug from Miami...!!!

Maybe the women need to start more businesses so they can run them from the perspective of a woman and be more friendly to a woman’s needs. They can still hire men, of course. But run the company without those ridiculous rules that punish motherhood. Be more family friendly to all parents. I work for one of the top 10 most profitable companies in the United States (on the Forbes list) and we have an incredibly family-friendly culture that has a great work-life balance. If we can be that way and still be massively profitable, can’t other companies?

Korea has one of the biggest gaps in pay between men and women. Korean women shoulder the majority of the responsibility for child care. Korean men are raised to believe they are little princes. No wonder the women are fed up.

How so businesses make money if they give all their profits to motherhood accommodation? It's not a business or governments job responsibility or duty to secure time or money for your offspring... That's an agreement between thev2 adults that made the kid, furthermore women n men are idiots if they make kids and can't stay together or cooperate well enough raise it.

This is the patriarchy at work. Men made the rules, norms, standards, ethics, moral structure and gender based values and views and they're all basically anti family and anti female. But will be really hard to fix because our global economy is based on global oligarchies. A select few (men) have all the money and therefore power, and they order the world to their liking. And they order it just enough in other (poor) males favor that they remain blinded to the manipulation and hold on to it with a death grip. Instead of helping to change it for the better.

Please. The real reason they don't want kids is because they're self-centered, materialistic sociopaths. They complain that raising a kid is too expensive. But they walk out of LV, Gucci, Prada and Fendi stores, spending thousands of dollars a month on bags, shoes, clothes and jewelry. Then step into their luxury vehicles.

Same here in the US. While it's not as overt, the corporate system doesn't help mothers...even those in traditional nuclear families. Add in the cost or lack of childcare, shoddy medical care (among the worst if the industrialized world) and political policies, parenthood just isn't worth it.

Idk if it's a cultural difference or what but I didn't interpret it as him cutting her off rudely? Often he's been asking for clarification of terms etc before proceeding (so that the audience wouldn't be confused). I'm from a culture that does the "chiming in" as a way to show you are actively listening, cause just being silent all the time is interpreted as someone perhaps no longer being interested, that lack of feedback. I know Japan does the same thing too, not sure about SK exactly, I've had no formal confirmation but in the many variety shows I've seen they've been doing it too. Isn't it just how it is? A criticism I've gotta agree on though is that him calling the way some women prefer to disengage "extremist", it really isn't, it's actually very lowkey and subdued, it's the most peaceful form of resistance really. I'm from a country where we women definitely have it good so such a movement here would be kind of nonsensical tbh but I can see

Give how bad the crimes against women are, his rampant the domestic violence is the revenge porn, the way they usually can't just resume their careers happens and they end up stuck in part time jobs always dependent on their husband... I can see why it makes sense there, especially given that it's financially difficult to have a family in general anyways.

It's not a race thing, it's a cultural thing. Other people appreciate it that their kids learn things like history, geography, science, math, etc. Americans want their kids to learn self expression and confidence. There's also the strong thread of anti-intellectualism in America.
