He beat up her friend and was definitely abusive, hot headed, and manipulative. He was way too jealous all the time. Y'all think he "changed" I mean sure, but I wouldn't have waited around for that shit. In real life people like that dont change it only gets worse because their partner enables their behavior by not doing anything about it. As great as these series' can be, I really hate that it romanticizes this stuff. And it really does perpetuate the idea that jealousy and manipulation is cute or shows that you care but it doesn't. A lot of people have really started to have this weird idea or vision of Korea from kdramas and honestly a lot of the shit people think is okay is worrying.

@@jay_binger I get where you’re coming from, it’s like when people glorify the villain even though he’s a pedo, or serial killer just because he’s “hot,” it’s definitely becoming an issue, I’d say at the beginning of the series Jun pyo was definitely abusive, but I think he changed by the end of the series, don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen some abusive relationships in kdramas that get worse by the end, this drama doesn’t do that though, most of the characters are pretty tame and there are repercussions for their actions, I WOULDN’T HAVE WAITED FOR THAT SHIT EITHER LOL, that’s why I KNOW it’s a kdrama, everybody waits ... NOT ME IN REAL LIFE 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

@@jay_binger i get what you mean. but people can change, especially if she/he had found someone to hold on to in his/her life. You need to know that humans are dynamic. even normal people with good personalities can change to be bad if something traumatic happened to them. if indeed he has found the meaning of life, whether it's in the name of love or something else, he can certainly change. I'm not only talking about Junpyo in this drama, but also in the real life. it takes patience, understanding, and the important thing is whether you want to accept it or not

However like I said these shows really do romanticize and glorify being extremely jealous and using getting physical as a release for anger at your partner. These are not things that "show you care" or are "cute" and in real life people should know that you should not wait around for someone to change their behavior. We shouldn't have to endure or get hurt so someone else can stop being abusive. When you stay you end up enabling them because they know you won't leave them. There's so much more to say but it's just too much lol. If he did change for the better at the end of the show that's great and it's good that they show that in the end his previous self and actions were bad.

Besides, it's totally unrealistic. In real life, there is no way she can survive and leave like that. It's just film for visualizing our unrealistic dream. That's why we called them as TV drama. It's totally different from legal movie. I watched this film when i was at high school. It's funny and exciting. However, it becomes ridiculous and silly when i have watched some cut-scenes recently. So, different ages will have different reception for those kinds of film like this.

I’m surprised she put up with him for so long I would of belted him a long time ago. In the drama it surprised me that from this initial strong figure she became so weak. I was not pleased with that at all. She kept going back to the abuse and I didn’t like how he would at times drag her by her wrist. I grew up in Texas and my Unkle who is a police officer said if a man grabs you by the wrist spin the opposite direction of his thumb grab the now injured thumb and break it.
