Just cuz she lies about the leave in office and acts like she can't speak English at the car accident doesn't mean she's bad though. These are the small lies people say from time to time. Cuz in majority of companies, people are overworked with unfair pays, so why not tell a small lie for a short leave? And there is a reason to why she lied to her coworker about not meeting her boss before. Her entire office is filled with gossiping evil back stabbing bitches (both men and women). So if word got out that she rear ended her boss's car, they'd gossip and make others who don't know her think of her as an evil bitch. Meanwhile in reality, it was just an accident, nothing intentional. She may or may not give a shit about her "reputation amidst assholes", guess who will? the one giving her the promotion. So tell the truth and risk your hard work going unrewarded? nope. Sometimes we have to lie a little to avoid evil situations. It's not evil as long as your lies aren't hurting anyone.
