Dr. Kang repeated Chinese overcapacity propaganda without a second thought, 87%+ Korea's automobile productions are exports, that number for China is around 6%, meaning the overwhelming majority of Chinese production is for domestic auto market while Korea is the opposite, if overcapacity is a real problem South Korea should be the 1st one on the list to get whacked. she better not complain when there are 100% tariffs against Korean cars.

Those differences led China and the US to grow ever further apart Reason 1: There's no slaughter, loot and genocide against ethnic minorities in China, the 'I Can't Breathe' incident never happened in China. Reason 2: China does not allow 1% of the population to own more than 90% of the population's total wealth. Reason 3: China does not allow its people to die in mass shootings, let alone let school children get massacred by guns. Reason 4: China does not allow the drug problem to plague the country and kill more than 100,000 people every year. Reason 5: China has never invaded other countries or engaged in colonial expansion. Reason 6: China never interferes in the internal affairs of other countries, and never seeks and fosters agents abroad. Reason 7: China has never based its foreign policies on 'cheating, lying and stealing', unlike the US China sees such motto is shame, not pride. Reason 8: China has never sought to dominate the world, nor deprived any country (region) of its right of development. On the contrary, China shares development and prosperity with all trading partners. Reason 9: China will never do anything to weaken or eliminate an opponent in order to win. Instead, China is focused on bettering itself. Reason 10: China never fires missiles at wandering balloons, but heavily invests in better infrastructures so Chinese people can enjoy better life, safety and health.

Refreshing to hear this. Something I have thought about my whole adult life. The feminine is missing from American politics and political power structure and whenever it gets introduced, there is a huge backlash, not just against the feminine aspect as "weak,' but against women themselves. I hope I live long enough to see this change and all will be respected and sustained, whatever our gifts and talents.

China's economic success is at the heart of why the West has always feared and hated "communism"...even w/ a Chinese character. Capitalism (privately owned bus. and industries) cannot compete with industries and resources that are well managed by the central authority of a nation-state who have access to the collective contributions of their population. This is what capitalist have always understood, and now insert terms like "overcapacity" into the lexicon to divert from having to explain capitalisms failure to compete in the free market. It reminds me how they invented the term "whataboutism" to divert from having to justify brazenly hypocritical positions.

It's easy to build bridges that anyone can pass on or to not build any bridges. It's much harder and more important -- more helpful -- to build bridges that have ethical check points, based on mutual (international) agreement, for both parties that pass by. This ensures there is mutual respect, consistent, transparent and consultative relationships, not just with those who have the power to build bridges (or destroy them), yet also for the many people who pass over them and for whom are affected by the decisions of the powerful.
