I think a few hundred years ago, perhaps even a couple millenniums, the Asiatic lion 🦁 & tiger🐅 were either extremely close neighbors, to where they even crossed paths (at least occasionally) if not often. Sorta like the American Puma & Jaguar of the Americas. Coming in contact, and as dominant as the Bengal & especially the Siberian tiger is, "Natural Selection" would still favor the big predictors that travel in prides.

Whereas India wanted Iranian cheetah ( as same breed that went extinct in India in 1960s last seen ) , but Iran wanted Asiatic lion in exchange of Asiatic Cheetah , and Gujrat has not yet exported to MP or Raj. so this is another country. Finally today India has 800+ Lions & Iran has 20+ Cheetah (Reduced from pop. of 150+ when India was asking for same).

Gujarat government is reluctant to spread them to other places from as close as Kuno national park and as far as Iran simply because they want monopoly over them. From the brink of extinction to a sizable number of 600 plus is a big leap in securing the population. The food base is in good condition. Now they are over flowing in their forest and looking for shelter outside the national.park and reserve forest is a different issue altogether.

What I know about Indian culture lions are mostly associated for luxury and lavish things or lifestyle. It's a symbol of royalty or Royal Power.But tigers are mainly associated to sacrifice, strength and bravery. If king of empire is the like the Lion then the brave soldier is like the Tiger.

Tigers aren’t found in Gujarat due to the climate being too harsh and tigers like being near forests where there is ample of water for easy kills and coolness from the climate which isn’t available in Gujarat

That lioness got injured and It is very common thing in a group of lions. It is thumb rule of a jungle that if an animal is injured then its time to say goodbye to this world. Government of that region is trying a lot to save them. Please do not provide wrong info. around the world because People start showing sympathy and they feel that indian lions are avoided by the government. Due to some outsiders and their merciless behaviour with lions, they reached to 20. You should make documentary on that topic as well. Lions are increasing in numbers day by day. The bonding between humans of that region and lions is a unique identification in the world and I think it's a real quality of a king as they are having control on their mind .
