Hi all, Asics employee here. Just to making a sliiiight correction, the drop/offset of this shoe is actually 4mm, not 10mm. If you're used to more of a 8mm+ drop in your shoes, you will for sure notice the lower drop on these. I've used a pair for a few months now and personally, I'm a big fan. Very light, the flytefoam is indeed very soft, and the Asics Grip is fantastic. As Seth has mentioned, these aren't necessarily the most protective shoes in our trail line-up, so if you're planning on tackling some harsher terrain, I would consider the Trabuco Max, Trabuco 11 etc. Loving the video as always, Seth!

Old Soul! Ha! I didn't have to go to my grandparents place for a rotary dial phone - that was what I grew up with! I remember trying to dial into radio competitions or similar, you would have all numbers dialled in and just waiting to let go on the last as soon as it opened - real skill involved there :)

Nostalgia for memories of getting excited hearing a favorite song on the radio and hurrying up to record on my Cassette tapes. Had to work hard and be patient to make your own mix tape haha

Hello Seth, one trail shoe from Asics that could deserve more visibility is the Fujispeed, a more « serious » yet nimble trail offering derived from the Fuji Lyte. I have a feeling that shoe could address the shortcomings you identified on the Fuji Lyte. As an alternative I would also consider the Saucony Peregrine, especially the previous generation.

It's a rotary phone, Seth! My grandparents had one as well and it would rattle the walls when it rang!

Did my first 50 k ultra last year in the Fuji lite 2. It was mixed surface. Its very good on gravel and trail. Not so good on asphalt and road. This looks very similar. Speedgoat and Ultraglide are more versatile. But on trail and gravel its very fast. Did feel the upper was a little loose, and the midsole not any good on asphalt road (want more shock absorption like in the Speedgoat and Ultraglide ).

I hope you could try the Fuji Speed. This is another nimble Asics shoe yet more stripped to bare minimum. So i wonder which to choose? ...for sure not Trabuco MAX 😅

If the Fuji Lite could have the upper of the Tri Noosa, I would buy it in a heartbeat

Hey, I need quick advice: Fuji Lite 2 or Fuji Lite 3? I can pick one, price is the same. I'm askin' cuz I know newer model isn't always better than the older one. Foot is neutral, a little wider (fe took me some time to adjust to my Gel Venture 8). I run around 5-6 miles 3-4 times a week, started to get better times (losing weight in progress!) Help & thx! :)

Excellent test , after 400 km this one is comfortable but tongue is not good, front is too wide for me, fujispeed are far better for me at all

Asics has started offering there stability shoe GT in a TR version so if you need a lil more support and like running trails there's a 1000 TR and 2000 TR

Great shoe, great review. I loved the FL2. Curious about which shoe is in the "8s" case above the Speedcross??? Topo Ultraventure 3 perhaps? Is there a review coming down the pipe? Looking for a commuter for my mixed terrain runs (50/50 road and trail, typically between 10 and 15 miles with light to medium technical trails) I am currently thinking topo uv3 or just waiting for the Craft nord lite ultra. Any thoughts or recommendations?

loved the fuji lite 2. Seems like the same shoes (at least the mid and outsole). Great price!

Love the FL2, but foam seems to now bottom out for me after around 10k, so much so that after 13km on rocky trails I had to stop running as my feet were so beat up 😮. Outsole barely showing any wear, but maybe I've done more km on them than I realise. Anyone else have this experience? I'd love to the the FL3, but not if its got the same issue.

Just my preference but I would get really excited if the drop was 6mm or lower. I don't like such a high drop for downhills in particular😊
