Really glad to hear you are enjoying it so much... its funny because you answered my question in this video about the glycerin max haha ie heavier bigger shoes! But yes, for its weight and stack height, its pretty exceptional

Yeah, I think this is about the highest I'd want to go in stack height and softness for a Daily Trainer. I don't think I love it as much as you do...;) But it's a great shoe!

Agree on this shoe... it's a big shoe but surprisingly light and engaging. Also, I watch almost everything on KZbin in 2x....2x makes your editing even more chaotic...I love it...

Watching this stuff in 2x must be a serious sugar rush. Not for the faint of heart. And this is still a relatively calm video by my standards.

Indeed and it's 40g less than the Nimbus with more than enough cushion.

Great review, as a heavier runner, this shoe will most likely be perfect for my moderate pace efforts, pushing my nimbus into the slow and low category.

Thanks and this should work well there! Much more lively than the Nimbus and also considerably lighter.

I love your filming and editing style, I’ve no interest in the shoe but thoroughly enjoyed video all the same. Appreciate you using English too. Cheers

Thanks! That's actually the highest praise you can give me. Sometimes I see these videos as just some fun, experimental Vlogs myself, with the shoe just being there to give thr whole thing some narrative.

I like the stark, short, cutaways to interesting, often empty, bleak scenes. But I do also like the shoe stuff (just don’t need or want this one)

I have NB5 and like you am light weight runner, and I really like them for my 2 long runs a week 25-30k each and they take care of me really well for that cheers great vids and yes they are super comfy and nice roomy toe box.

Yeah, they're great. Just wouldn't use them for anything fast personally. But if I stick with them in my easy zone, they work really well and I think the light weight helps a lot.

@@robin29991 Do you just shoot in empty areas? Or do you use something to remove people in the backgrounds. I adore the desolation and aloneness in your videos...when i even film outside (which is rare) I also try to find no people...but that is often hard on this little island.
@robin29991
@robin29991 4 күн бұрын
No, mostly just a matter of the right time of day and sometimes waiting for the empty shot or working around other people. I do hardly anything in Post Production apart from Cutting of course and adjusting Audio Levels here and there. Everything you see is exactly how it comes out of the camera.

Just done 11 miles in mine. Always feels a lot of shoe under me even if not heavy on the scales. Gets those ploddy miles done for sure or maybe that is just my pace these days. Bit wet underfoot today and did notice was slipping ever so slightly but managed to stay upright and who knows if anything would have been any better. Ought to do a vid on this myself but never find got much overly revealing to say.

Noticed as well that the outsole doesn't quite have the 'bite' into wet roads as some other shoes. But certainly not a serious issue and never felt like I was really sliding around. It's okay for me. Obviously nothing too revolutionary left to say on this shoe but just good to give an update on it and prove that I have actually been using it beyond my First Fmpressions Video.

Ive heard conflicting reviews of the NB5 being super bouncy or just being super soft, I dont think anything will replace that feeling when I first bought the Novablast v1.....also - Zombi Apocalypse in the fog :P nice.
@robin29991
@robin29991 4 күн бұрын
I'd say it's somewhere between super soft and super bouncy. Nicely balanced and well refined shoe. Nothing too extreme about it. Should work well for most runners. Yeah, this was a bit creepy...

such a kool location to run at. how long does it take for u to get to sumwhre like this the minute u step out ur house? like including train and walking? u got any interest in the superblast? i know u dont like mega high stack but i guess thats for more max plushy shoes like the nimbus/glyerin max etc
@robin29991

Oh, this is actually really close by. Literally just up the hill. But it was so foggy, if I didn't know my way around, I would surely have gotten lost! I am interested in the Superblast... Such an expensive shoe though. I guess at this point, I might just wait for a v3 as the 2 is never discounted anyway.

It's pretty hilly but I do have some relatively flat routes through the city as well:) Asics ist just not my favorite brand somehow... Just not that appealing for me to spend this kind of money on this model when it's not all that new anymore.

I have actually run in the NB3. But only one single run and that was a long time ago now... Only thing I remember is I didn't like it. I sold it pretty quickly. This feels like a much more complete shoe. Yeah, this was a pretty creepy place and fog. If I didn't know my way around there, I would surely have gotten lost!
