Serious Mental Toughness there running a HM on a Treadmill! I had the Alphafly 3 back in February or so and wasn't impressed... This is also a very soft shoe but feels much more aggressive.

@ it’s just too much snow and ice outside so no choice to put in a test on the pro 4s. I need to try some faster paced efforts also to see how they perform. 🙌🏽. You seem very happy with them all round. Apart from the 2stripe issue 😬

Nice video ! At the moment I keep using my Pro 3 for competition because I bought them recently, but I definitely want to try the Pro 4 and maybe keep my Pro 3 for training ! The design looks as good as the Evo SL :)

Wow, that is poor quality control with the stripe coming off so early in the piece. Glad it is only cosmetic damage. I've got my pair and I'm similarly impressed so far. Adidas have delivered an excellent super shoe. However, I had to go up half a size from my usual size so the weight whilst good isn't top in the class. Asics MSSP, Brooks HE4PB, Nike VF2/3, Puma DNE3 have all got it beat on weight and there may be some others I've missed but weight isn't everything! Great video once again. Enjoyed it. Was worried those shopping trolleys were going to turn rogue and trap you!

Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed this. I went with my normal size EU 40 and it fits perfectly. Out of interest, what size are you? I've found that shoe weights scale quite differently in larger sizes. Of the ones you mentioned, I only have the Vaporfly 2 and 3 and they are all identical to the AP4 with 175g.

You might have missed the evacuation order. Even the stripes are trying to get out of there as soon as possible. Stay safe! I've heard that even though Adidas might not honor every warranty claim, when it comes to wear and tear to their adidas logo or stripes they honor returns almost always. Basically the shoe might disintegrate but if logo and stripes are fine you're out of luck and sucks to be you. However, if the shoe is in a great condition but either logo or stripes are showing unnecessary wear, they replace the product without any questions asked. At least try sending a claim to see the response from the company - it might be interesting to the viewers to see what adidas will say about this problem. Great content, keep it up!

Yeah, I might have missed it as I was busy Shoetubing:) I do think I would probably have every right to get a warranty claim on this. Especially as I now have a second stripe coming loose after my Session last night. I'm just kind of scared of having to send it in and then not having one for several weeks. This can take a while in my experience. Maybe I'll send them a careful E-Mail with some pictures or this video and see what they have to say about it... Thanks for watching!

Just send an email with photos. It should be enough to see what they would do. I don't want to believe that after seeing two stripes getting loose they would still play dumb and need an inspection before honoring their return policy but I might be in for a surprise :P Cheers!

If it is less than 1 year, I believe you can touch base with Adidas to replace your faulty pair (Logo). I did mine lastly Ultraboost Light they return the amount that I've paid

Yeah, it's definitely faulty as I now have a second stripe that is also coming loose! The problem is just that I have to send them in, right? And I don't want to part with this shoe for so long haha. Maybe I'll send them a careful Email with some pictures.

Adidas should send you a replacement. Is the EVO SL a better option for someone that's a slower runner doing a half marathon around the 2 hour mark or would you still recommend the AP4? I hear maybe its unstable at slower speeds compared to the AP3 so I'm hesitant.

It's always a bit hard to judge of course whether you're getting a lot of benefit from the Carbon Rods at slower paces. But really, a 2-hour HM is not that slow;) In general, the Pro 4 is definitely a much faster shoe though. Just beware, the heel isn't the most stable design: Soft foam and not a very wide base back there. Just something to keep in mind.

Yeah, I think I'll send Adidas a careful Email... Not sure about the Neo Vista comparison. I haven't run in that shoe but it is a much heavier and training-focused shoe where this is a Racing Machine really.

Entertaining as ever. Has everybody moved out ? Never seen a Lidl so deserted and indeed never a shoe review filmed from one. Might have to check out my nearest. Joking aside have you got a feel yet whether would take the Evo 1 or this Pro 4 into your next races or something else? I have ordered a pair but had to go "down" to the rare UK 13/US 13.5 as for some odd reason they are not doing my normal adidas size of UK 13.5/US 14. Seen a lot of runners saying need to size up in this so good at least that you do not think need to.

It was a Sunday. Wait, are stores normally open on Sunday in the UK? It's actually very hard to say for me right now if I would choose this or the Evo 1. I think I might go for the Evo just for the extra lightness. But otherwise, in terms of performance and times, I doubt there is much of a difference. I sure hope they fit you alright and in that case very much look forward to hearing your thoughts. I'm very excited about this one...

@ yeah most stores like Lidl are open every day in UK but just with shorter hours on a Sunday. Hoping can make the AP4 fit. Buzzing for some goal pace work albeit maybe not on towpaths in the white/black version like you.

You REALLY brought hem to the proper conditions for testing at the start and the entire video...🤣The outsole is not rubber, actually is CPU (cast polyurethane), much much lighter weight. If you were having traction issues in those conditions... you never are. No one ever will.

Interesting, didn't know about that. Of course this shoe is already so light that it doesn't need to lose weight in any way. Maybe they could have saved a few more grams but not much. I actually used it in a Track Session last night. It was a bit wet and grimy and didn't have any issues there. In fact the show was so good, that I think I'll want to reserve it for key Workouts and Races now...

Yeah, more bounce and the Energy Rods make this a much more aggressive shoe. You know I absolutely love the Evo SL but they're not really comparable. This is definitely a Racer vs a Training Shoe.

Yeah, disappointing...😔 I did a Track Session in it last night and now even have a second stripe that is getting loose at the edges! Time will tell in terms of durability. But it will be a while until I can comment on that. I think I will reserve it for Races now, so won't run a whole lot more mileage in it.
