dang, with this came out 3-4 weeks ago .. I bought the SBv2 & find it too firm for me - my other shoes are the NB Rebel v4 & NB Elite v4. Great comparison review guys

Add in a more plush sock liner. I added the power run plus one from the triumph. Big difference.

Same for me, the SB feels hard as a rock. We can see from the video that the Balos is so much softer compared to the SB when the feet strikes the road. The midsole compresses a lot for the Balos.

I'll admit to being confused by the Balos compared to the Rebel v4. I have the Rebel and love it, but the Balos sounds in many ways like a different looking version of that.

Please demonstrate and comment on the flex when you show the rocker. You mentioned how the rocker feel is more in the SB vs the Balos even though the actual rocker is reversed. I wonder if that has to do with the flex/firmness.

It sounds like the balos is a shoe to go in a rotation, where the superblast is the option for someone that wants one pair of shoes to go through to race day. I can't justify the cost of either though so I'm sticking to my puma deviate nitro 2's 😂

Talking about super trainers, what happened to the prime x and x 2? It's different from these since it has plates, but it seems people forgot about it after the SB came out.

Still waiting on that black colorway, in the States, of the Balos, just because I want to try the "New" formulation of that foam. I have been in love with my Mach X 2's I picked up this week, even though people were sort of not giving it the best of reviews. It fits me perfectly, like most Hoka's, and the dual density foam in that shoe is a perfect blend for me, and helps me keep up my pace even when i am feeling a bit bland.

My superblast v1 have about run out of life. I doubt I'll get more, just haven't gelled with them. Fast but didn't find them very comfortable to be honest. I'm thinking the Hoka mach 6 might be next

Why not the Novablast 4 when u want a really easy run shoe. Sb is more of a faster training shoe

Agreed , British new balance prices are not competitive? Here in USA they have some more comparable prices . They have some of the softest midsole shoes these days . Often as a relatively bigger runner I prefer shoes with more supportive midsole foam. Also their midsoles and outsoles have not been as durable for me as other brands . I think some of their models offer the most flexibility in terms of upper fits , wide or narrow options sometimes offered in same shoe . I have heard their new elite marathon racer is very good though for non elite paces if you have extra money :-)

@@pbnotj1 I live in Europe; I think NB prices in US are more reasonable in USD and there are more promos available. But European NB prices are HORRENDOUS. 😭😂 I own NB shoes too btw. Quality is greeaaaat it’s just the pricing I’m griping about haha
