Kmh I naturally have curly hair but my texture is like a mut. It's definitely curly but also straight, and wavy. The color ranges from blonde to dark brown. And overall it's just a mess. No, actually. Curls are formed with sections of hair that pretty much stay together, especially if you use product. With straight hair, all of the hair is loose and each strand moves around independent of the others around it, so there is more opportunity for it to get tangled. Brushing curly hair breaks up the curls and since the strands themselves are not straight, you get a poofy cloud around your head. Curly hair can get tangled, but stuff like keeping the hair properly conditioned, combing it with your fingers occasionally, and sleeping with it in a protective style prevents the worst from happening. I have a hairbrush, but I hardly ever use it and only if I'm going to wash my hair right afterwards.

YO if anybody wants to know MEGAN'S (aka CURLY GIRL) HAIR ROUTINE: Washing Hair: 1. Flip hair upside down 2. Wet 3. Shampoo roots (scratching and massaging scalp) 4. Rinse (still upside down) 5. Apply conditioner to ends and work product up until all detangled 6. Finger-comb only 7. Let conditioner sit 8. Cup small amounts of water in palm, rinse sections (still upside down) 9. Hair should feel like silky seaweed 10. Apply f*ckton of gel, smoothing on top, bottom and sides of hair 11. Scrunch from bottom 12. Gently flip over 13. Gently towel dry 14. Blow-dry a bit with diffuser 15. Air dry the rest No brushes. No combs No Washing: 1. Run wet fingers through hair to detangle 2. Smooth a little conditioner in (or throw it up in a messy bun - CAN ONLY DO 1 TIME OUT OF 5 DAYS) Got it from the shot in the video. You can clearly see the paper with instructions at 1:57 or so. It looks like a lot of steps, but it's just a basic wash-condition routine and lots of gel.

lol i wash standing straight up but i wash before going to bed and i just put all of my hair on the pillow and spread it out so it gives the same effect as letting it hang upside down. i sleep with the fan on and by morning the curls dry and look pretty silky and theres also quite the volume!!

Haha, trust me, even though it looks nice it is a PAIN. It has taken my mom hours to help me comb out and wash my hair, and my hair isn't even that curly! It's more wavy than it is curly. My mom on the other hand, it can take her more than 5 hours to wash and take care of her hair, and it's really curly.

Tbh I have the same type the girl on this video has, and it's really not that difficult to maintain lmao, I just wash it normally except when the conditioner is in I untangle with my fingers, then hair dry. (Along with the occasional oil mask every couple weeks). If you wanna, you can just go get a perm ^_^ and just try it out (although they're very damaging, it might be worth it, if it's something you really want to try ~)

Black hair comes in all types and a lot of black girls have multiple different types of hair on their one scalp.
