I don't think that time necessarily is a factor in love. You could get to know a person extremely well after a month of spending a mass amount of time with them. There shouldn't be that stigma of saying it 'too early', especially with the person you are with. I think there's something wrong if you're scared of telling the person you are with that you love them.

Someone not saying they love you isn't necessarily someone uncertain about their feelings for you; They could be scared to say it because they're not sure of your feelings. At least, that's how I work: I show people that I care and love them before I say it precisely due to that uncertainty that comes with other people not showing their love the same way I show mine :)

I never say "I love you" unless I mean it. I won't tell someone that I love them if I really don't. If someone I know has read or heard me say "i love you.", it's probably to a family member or my best friend. If someone says "i love you" to me, (like a friend) than i'd probably say 'love ya' 'love you' 'i love ya' 'ily' but never the full I LOVE YOU.

I also don't consider the 'I love you' to be too different from 'I am in love with you'. The meaning behind I love you and its intensity depends on who you say it to. The earliest I've said it was one week BEFORE we were actually in a relationship lol, and we'd only been talking for two weeks. He said it first, I said it back. I didn't quite love him at that point, it was my first real relationship and I felt very cautious about throwing myself into it so quickly but even in those two short weeks I knew that he was something special and that I would love him so I felt okay saying it back. It lasted a little over two years.

I admit. I never said it first. Every time I only said it because the person kept asking me "do you love me? do you love me?" and what was I supposed to say? Sure, I cared for the person, but for me love has a much deeper meaning. It never felt like the right time. Even though I would come to love the person, that happened some time after I said it the first time. I think asking your partner if they love you before they're ready to say it is one of the worst things you could do to them...that's why I never ask anyone if they love me. I just wait for them to feel it for real and say it out of their own will.

My earliest was a week into the relationship with my current boyfriend. We had been "talking" yet being pretty exclusive to eachother for 6 months before hand. He lives in my hometown,yet I moved 1500 miles away to Florida so we didn't make it official for a while. I went back home for winter break for a bit,and he came down to Florida for a few weeks. I remember feeling such a strong connection like I never felt in any of my other relationships before,and just writing pages upon pages and poem after poem about how much I loved him. I was just too nervous to say it first. But, he did end up saying it first and it made me overjoyed he felt the same way. Now he's back home,but we're still strong. Long distance love☺️

I feel like in Germany it's kinda diffrent. Like, you've probalby already said it before daiting or the day you become a couple because here it's totally normal and the meaning of it is often forgotten.

There is also a difference between "ich liebe dich" and "ich hab dich lieb". Also the daiting thing is different in Germany. You say you are daiting someone when you are in this phase to get to know each other but not yet in a relationship, while in america daiting means you are in a relationship. That´s confusing^^
