I want a high end vodka on the rocks, served neat, up, on big cube, dry, with extra vermouth, splash in and out, with Tito’s……. Literally had this order…… I hate people

Just because you (guests) know the bar verbiage, doesn’t mean you should vocabulary-list everything you know when you order….. just order what you want you nerds

People should know the basics.

Drinking has been around for a long time. It’s ingrained in American culture. Most in there 20’s go out to socialize. They just find 1 or 2 cocktails and just stick with that. It’s hard to order what you like because it’s hard to find out what you like. Like you said it’s over complicated and overwhelming. Knowing what you like and what you like about (what components) and learning new ways to experiment is exasperating. Also expensive Even if only go out to the bar 1-2 times a month, knowing the basics will help in navigating those experimental phases. leading to an overall better experience

People that find it entertaining to be difficult at bars or restaurants are sooooooo lame. Normally people who dine alone.

Once my brother was helping to an older man to fix the roof when man sent him to get him a shot. After few minutes he sent him for another and then he returned with a whole bottle and said go on and drink now(that was in croatian and in dialect coming from a young kid so it sounded way funnier than this)

Enjoy these Ask the Bartender questions. Don't understand your version of on the rocks. Fill a rocks glass half way with ice, then pour in liquid. Puzzzled in Dallas JF Actually, for a shot, she would get that vodka in a shot glass. Right?

We use giant cubes so maybe we should say On The Rock.
