Most people I've heard of say he was actually the nicest of the pythons. I think he had a bit of an inferiority complex and that explained why he was so passionate about things. I remember cleese saying that in the group he was able to 'hide his deficiencies', which I guess means he thinks he wasn't that funny, an has famously said the two had almost nothing in common. And Michael got so much credit for being so darn funny that it was terrible to see him hardly ever in Ripping Yarns. I gave up after a couple of shows. Anyway, he's dead now, not sure where this guy gets the idea that he was a devil. I think personally most of the pythons have people who really dislike them for professional reasons, except for Mike. But I read an article on the guy who sued them over Holy Grail and Spamelot, and it does seem he was done wrong by them. As Eric has said, they are all famously bad with anything thats business related.

He was my favorite Python, and that is saying a lot. A LOT.

The biggest crime is that he liked directing so much, because in life of brian by far his characters were the funniest and those you wanted to see more of. He could have done a sequel with brians mother. But its odd that he never directed much of anything after the eighties because he was such a good director. If even john cleese sings your praises as a director you've got to be good. And they should have had him in Labyrinth.

I'm not at all surprised by the Buster Keaton influence, Terry J. was really good at pantomime. There are numerous examples in the Python catalogue. RIP, you marvelous being.

Benny McGhee You can see it as far back as a January 2009 interview where he was stuttering a bit and searching for words, but nowhere near as obvious as it had become in 2013 interviews. It must be very difficult for his family and loved ones to know that just as recent as 2015, he was still having full length conversations, albeit it with stutters, lapses in memory and hesitations/pauses, but still able to fully communicate with language and sadly now, is unable to speak at all anymore, or even communicate in writing. There are a couple of 2015 interviews where his speech had become even worse.
