I actually did this when I was competing in sport and in the conventional military. That and mentally preparing myself to be miserable and to accept it makes a huge difference I found.

Hey... love your content... in regards to preparation, did or does martial arts have a place for preparation for Police tactical selection? I do BJJ and am pretty consistent with training... if I'm not on the mats, I'm in the gym working on strength, cardio and Mobility. Is BJJ wasting my time? I did miss out on the last selection intake do to a shoulder injury sustained on the mats days before my fitness.
