I never thought to swirl the fat I’m around the tin to ensure it doesn’t stick! What a great tip thank you!

I love AGA stoves but the roast can sit out for up to two hours safely, so use the time. Before seasoning rub the piece of meat with a binder. Oil or mustard works great. Season all sides of the meat, not just a pile on top.

love the big spoon your using. You don't see them much now can you still buy them.?? Reminds me of the Marry Poppins scene with the medicine.

Hi Charlie we’ve just bought an old barn and there is an electric aga and no instruction manual it’ seems to be the same model as yours . Can you please share the model type and I can look for the manual as I don’t even know how to switch it on! I’m used to a neff induction so I’m a newcomer to Aga

on a 2 door Aga - what timing do you use as it only has Roasting and simmering. Thanks xx
@ask.charlie4 жыл бұрын
I would do the first 45 mins in the hot oven then the remaining time in the simmering one. Hope that helps

Wonderful video! You mentioned that you are from Pulborough, but I thought detected a hint of a west country (perhaps Gloucestershire) accent? I wish I could have one of your roast dinners!

Seems very chaotic cooking. Let's buy an aga because it is the superior cooking range, but must have an electric oven for the Yorkshire puddings! Cook the Yorkshire pudding first, reheat when needed.
