Women don't *have to* suffer silently. This will sound harsh but they *choose* to suffer by not taking a stand and not knowing their rights. A common example is signing your nikkahnama without reading and agreeing to marriages when you're not ready due to famy pressure. Unless you are in captivity or somebody is holding a giun to your head, you don't have to suffer.

But our society and backwards culture has stigmatised even the basic right to say no and instead encourages to do things to obey others especially elders, husband, inlaws etc even if it's harmful for you. This mentality is wrong and thats how problem build up and turn into resentment.
