Here’s what I’d propose!! Cut back on the T20I OR ODI AND PLAY MORE TEST!!! Each team while playing away should take an A team as well to first class games to get acclimated to outside conditions early so when dey make debut for senior team they got a idea of how the conditions will play

Pretty grim stuff all round. When Ravi Shastri is a great proponent of cutting the test teams down to six he forgets that a) the disparity in wealth that has been brought about by subsequent money men and b) he shows his contempt for the other teams to whom the likes of England, India and Australia are a big pay day. There is the other thing that he forgets is that over-familiarity breeds contempt both on the field which isn't appealing and in spectators who won't bother turning up at all. There has to be a redistribution otherwise these same people might have just put the final bullet into test cricket.

West Indies rapid decline had occurred well before the emergence of T20 and franchise cricket. The Regional Four Day Comp is not producing Test quality players. There are occasional one-off performances that seem to threaten a comeback. S. Hope & Shamar are two recent examples.

So glad George mentioned Pakistan along with W Indies on the list of sides that are rapidly fading unless money is directed to them more evenly . I also grew up loving watching Pakistan and West Indies genius and it is definitely on the wane big time and could even be too late

Pakistan is in the wane because their players are busy preaching Islam while on foreign tours rather than concentrating on Cricket.🤦🏻

All the Windies best batters are playing T20. If they don’t make it financially worthwhile for them, this will be the result. The big three will keep all the revenue, and soon they will be the only ones playing tests.

Who's gonna watch it?and Why is the test cricket dying outside India, Aus and Eng? Isn't it because of a pathetic display like this west indies cricket team. One inning collapse can be understood but the second inning display of horrible batting. The only team that should be saved is South Africa and too an extent New Zealand as they still have test quality players and they are struggling with finances. Pakistan can't win the home test against England and Australia. Sri Lanka what to say. Bangladesh never took off. And by the way there is already a red ball league ..that is the county championship

when are we going to start being honest and say the truth that in a lot of countries T20 is the only way to make money in cricket and you can see this in the total lack of ability to bat long innings (2hrs+) and have a defence that's keeps the good balls out, cos you don't need that in T20. so now there's no test cricket this weekend, maybe giving all the refunds will wake them up to this reality!!, i hope the next five tests are not like this as its killing the sport right in front of our eyes. having said that Englands last 3 test in India were just as bad.

The Big 3 just want their own mini league where they make loads of money, and keep it for themselves. The chasm-like disparities (particularly number of tests played per year, and length of series) in cricket are only going to get wider, until the likes of WI, SL, BAN, ZIM are all gone. Even SA & PAK will be at risk eventually. So many pleas and suggestions have been made to the ICC. But sadly they and the Big 3 have zero interest in actually doing something positive for the world game

Just have top 4-5 teams playing test cricket. Scrap ODIs altogether and only have tournament cricket for T20

Batters like Kraigg Brathwaite have been around for a while. I can never understand his batting or his game plan. Played 89 tests but appears to be a sitting duck every time he is at the crease. Agreed the rest of the batters appear to be learning on the job.

The solution is to create division in Test with promotion and relegation system, Like it exists in league football. It's not more so about the money but about the player talent coming through in carribean. They don't want to play skillfully, when they can just come and start hitting few sixes and get paid well for it. It's them, not the community that has ruined test legacy. The simple fact is many WI players don't play first class cricket enough and are busy playing leagues around the world. They're to be blamed for them. You can make a hundred videos on equal distribution system but it doesn't exists. We remember the period before 2000s ,how England and Australia were, Absolute ruthless pragmatism. So stop giving lollipop for views and coming ahead as some sort of we're the messiah quadroon , peace and justice of wealth system. Make Test cricket royal again. It started as royal. There are enough viewers.

Some of it are true , but you have to be in west indies to know the real problem , but anyways test cricket only royal for the big 3.
