#replay New Freewrite fan here from Michigan. I gifted the Ghost Traveler to my son who is a writer/editor and he loves it. I recently received the Raven Alpha for myself and so far I am loving it. There has been a lot of talk about more errors using Alpha due to the flat keys and them being extremely close together. For this, do you have any alternative keys in the works that will fit Alpha?

Someone on the live chat said he ordered Nuphy keycaps and replaced those on Alpha and was very happy about it. Also to keep in mind that few are not replacable - Space bar and few others.

I'm very intrigued by the product. I am about to get into the product and use it for drafting songs (lyrics) and poetry. I may even dabble into writing full on writing projects. So excited to eventually purchase one.

day 1 firmware upgrade replaced a workable medium font (seen in most reviews) with a small, not medium, awkward font. 3 font sizes are now ridiculously small, small, and ridiculously large. please allow us to roll back to the original font ASAP!

Happy 10 year anniversary to Freewrite! ❤🎉 Excited to see if there are any exciting new products in addition to the Alpha coming out this year to celebrate 🎉 I have a Traveler and I’m absolutely loving it, but I also love the look and feel of the Alpha. Love the full sized keyboard functionality, but as someone with low vision, my only concern is that the Alpha won’t be practically accessible to me due to the smaller screen, and it being LCD as opposed to eInk.

Thanks for the support, Tiff! The E Ink is definitely very good for folks with vision issues. We would probably recommend Smart Typewriter for the ultimate keyboard experience!

Please make other languages keyboard layouts ALSO available for the Alpha ASAP 😭🙏 I love this device (I also own a Hemingwrite) but my native language is French, and if I'm not writing in English, it's a pain in the neck to have to go back and constantly correct typing errors because I can't switch keyboards. Thanks in advance.

Hi! Adding additional languages is a high priority after any bug fixing, but we don’t have any timeline or language list available at the moment. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I would love another Freewrite like the Hemingwrite, commemorating a famous author of playwright. A Tennessee Williams Freewrite typewriter would be awesome, Tennessee was often photographed with his typewriter.

Don't think that I didn't notice how there was no mention of the Indiegogo campaign and the lack of transparency involved. This AMA was an opportunity to explain why that campaign crashed and burned, and yet you focused on the easiest questions. Of course a person can write poetry on the Alpha-now tell us why there were months of silence after a promise of biweekly updates.

We disagree that the Alpha campaign "crashed and burned" - we delivered a product that helps writers push their creative process forward, and we're already seeing people share their results! Like in any crowdfunding campaign, our backers went on a journey of development with us, and each of our Indiegogo updates explained our progress and the delays and challenges we faced.
