Great video and knowledge. Had this issue when I first started bowling 2 handed. Trial and error drilling and plugging an old ball until found the correct pitches based on Mikey’s recommendation. Now on even my lowest diff balls oil track is clear of middle finger. All of my equipment is laid out using the Pal system. Mo and Mikey’s knowledge and research of the 2 handed system is top notch.

Getting your pap checked so you can really see how the ball is drilled to your own release is vital. As we learn the game and new techniques we should re check them every so often especially before drilling a new ball. Lastly if in doubt find a real pro shop that understand the science behind drilling and have them watch you and check your PAP. Most the time they should be able to work with a person and keep it off the holes. To many pro shops are not pro's when it comes to drilling. Even if you have to drive a hour to a different house to find someone that is good it will be well worth it.

Nice! I was literally just wondering this same thing. I throw no thumb but kind of a one hander, my second hand follows about half way back and then I get it out of the way, and get some rollover on that middle finger sometimes. It is really noticeable on my purple tank. This answered my concerns and I am just gonna roll with it as I just barely clip it on my "good shots" .

Mikey i love what your doing. Im a fairly new bowler... 4 years in. I bowl in a few leagues and just keep learning more and more. Thanks! Yeah the pitches are a start, anatomy will dictate some changes, and for me, I had to roll the grip even further left to clear the fingers more often.

Are there any negatives if the ball does barely rollover the finger hole? Any negative performance of the ball or reaction?

great question my son is learning how to 2 hand bowl and has never bowled before. i have bowled for ages but dont know how to help teach him. this solves one issue hes having tracking over the middle of the fingers instead of the normal spots im used to as a 1 hander

It can happen to one handers too. One of the guys I bowl with is right handed and he rolls over them almost every time. He is a Ok bowler but his is the way he throws as he never stays behind the ball and he kicks that elbow out.

great video - i have switched from 1 to 2 hands and have plugged all 4 of my balls previously drilled for 1 handed - 3 of the 4 don't roll over the finger holes, but my storm fast pitch does. any suggestion here?

Mikey, are the pitches you gave the adjustment from whatever our previous pitches were, or the pitch measurements from neutral???

Those are my starting pitches for all 2 handers. As is. I adjust for anatomy and rotation needs after that. For instance my laterals are another 1/4 left from that on both fingers to help keep me off the fingers.

I have a friend who is a one handed bowler who clips the middle finger with his Purple Tank and even sometimes rolls over the thumbhole too, but with his higher diff balls the track is in a proper high track location. Is this essentially the same issue you described for two handers?

Well now I’m curious. I’ve gotten to a point where my performance fit and my release creates track flare that never tracks over the middle finger. Middle finger: 1/2” forward, 7/16” left Ring finger: 1/4” reverse, 1/4” right How come my ball consistantly tracks on the same part of the ball regardless of urethane, asym, short pin, or low diff?

I am talking less than inch difference in flare location, closer to a half inch. But I am millimeters away on my high flare stuff, so that half inch is big. I still track the same part of the ball, so I don't think it's as drastic as you think. Generally if you clear the holes with low diff equipment, all your stuff will clear.
