Nick really displays what a healthy person would say to their friend. This is what brings me back to this podcast time after time. Really good advice without telling callers what to do. I’m a big big Nick fan

sorry WHAT? If someone got scammed by a sex bot I would get such an undeniable ick by the lack of awareness alone. I wouldn’t be able to be attracted to them anymore after that. Please leave him, thats so embarassing 😅😂😭

Right!?! Since he told his fiancé he thought he knew her since she added him on Snapchat then why didn’t he think it was weird she asked him for money & why would he pay it & not think it was a scam. Douche bag

To caller 1 - RUN girl!! You deserve to be with someone that loves and is as committed to you as you are to them! I don’t see how you ever FULLY trust someone after that.

Good advice but would've loved to hear the ladies' POV on the first caller's situation, too!

I used to pine over an ex that was the "first and only person I loved that intensely." Turns out he wasn't a great partner and I'm happy he will in no way be the greatest love. I love you talking about the narrative we speak to ourselves!

I feel terrible for caller 1. I totally see her point and if deposits weren't already down there wouldn't be so much pressure and they could go at their own pace. I wish her well & I hope she picks what's truly best for her, whichever decision that is.

Caller 2 is very "think your feelings". Grieving a relationship is very natural. Being sad is natural. Doesn't mean she won't get through it. Day by day caller 2!

For caller 1, that story he made up to justify those pictures is absolute bullshit. It was not a random person on snapchat. He 100% made a dating app account. That’s why those vanilla pictures were there. People frequently exchange Snapchats on dating apps instead of phone numbers for privacy. This is a common scam run on dumb men. Not only did he cheat on you, but he couldn’t even pull a real woman to do it with. If he had gotten any responses from an actual human woman, he 100% would have. I am incredibly sorry that you were hurt so deeply by someone who was supposed to keep you safe and prioritize you above all. You deserve to be loved so much better than that.

Lol my embarrassing breakup statement. I was literally 17, going into senior year and he was my first love. So young and passionate and he was my best friend. It ended really badly with him having sex with another girl and I was BROKEN. I have had many other loves and I’m married now and I’ve still never felt heart break like that. I remember literally thinking and saying when it happened “HOW, am I ever going to be happy again?!” Lol. I truly thought that. Little did I know I would be happy he broke up with me before senior year and I’d end up having the funnest year ever. Just funny to look back that that was the true mindset I was in. Lol

Lol so I have a funny one. My ex and I broke up about two weeks before we were supposed to go on a euro trip to Paris. I decided to bring my mom instead, because I wanted her to get to see Paris/ europe. Before the trip, though, I would on a regular basis fantasize about my ex conspiring to come and surprising me there. LMAO. I literally laugh at myself now.. but at the time I would get lost in that.. and I think I might have believed it at one point 😅😅 I’m very glad I can giggle at my myself now and the entire situation. Haha. Love your podcast!!! ❤❤

Break up I had totally romanticized - met a guy age 17 both working as camp counselors, did long distance for 5 yrs, got married at age 22 on the beach of the camp where we met. Were together 11 yrs and everyone thought we were perfect. Then, as a senior camp director, he (age 34) cheats on me with 20 yr old counselor and “totally ruined” our magical love story 🤣 . Now 6 yrs later, of course I see the favor he did me and I’m in a much better place in my life.

FIRST CALLER thank you for making me feel less alone. It’s been 7 months since I found out about my bf doing similar shit and I promise it gets better if you both put the work in. I still have a long ways to go but I am optimistic and I wanted to comment in the hopes you’ll see this and know you’re not alone. And thank you for helping me feel less alone.

Called number 2 needs to leave before she married I know it’s hard but think about how much harder it will be when he cheats on her and they have kids in this world. You have no ties just the house you can easily sell it. I know it seems like a huge tid but it’s not as much a a marriage and kids. You deserve to be his first choice and he wasn’t choosing you first in that moment

Not sure if I did something or you guys changed something but the Ask Nick Playlist is now is some wacky order. I feel like it was super helpful to have it in air date order. Love the show! Excited for it every week.

One thing they don't touch on much in the sexbot story is the finances. Her boyfriend parted with his money way too easilly. What if that had happened while they were married and shared a bank account? I would be so turned off by someone so tech illiterate and impulsive.

Seriously, in the past I stopped watching the podcast because Nick was annoying me with this kind of “sex positive” talk as though those who want to hold off until after marriage was sex negative or something. Anyhow. Now when I listen to Nick giving advice he speaks sooooo much sense and his words are gold. Whether you like or donKt like Nick…..he is certainly good at doing this!

God the “17 year old relationship” girl is annoying. And she doesn’t need to stop saying that - she was not in a 17 year relationship with him.

Thought Nick gave good advice with the lady about the religious beliefs! I've seen it on both sides...both couples go to church and are involved, but one more involved than the other and then where one goes to church and the other doesn't. The second couple is married (20 years or so) and doing well. From what I can tell, the partner who doesn't go to church doesn't feel pressure from the one who does, so it is possible.

To caller #3, with the religious so-called therapist - therapists are supposed to abide by a code of ethics which requires us to keep our religious beliefs OUT of therapy. The therapist is breaking that code of ethics by not doing that. Find a new therapist!

My longest relationship, 7 years, was my best friends brother and I reeeeally romanticize that 😂😂
@dresdenmoll3984 Жыл бұрын
As an FYI, no therapist should EVER be giving you their own personal opinion! That is unethical and you should immediately find a new therapist.

Catholics should put clay flesh first, before materialistic world. Secrets between women is personal. What is she up to with personal secrets? What kind of family does he or she come from? Judgemental is your lifestyle. When a man keeps himself just so is a "Pana", or woman a " Pandna". When two people need to be separated to find themselves. What kind of children do you have ? Therapy is needed when girls hide poverty & don't want to work likewise when a man cannot provide.

First caller - LOL! Therapy won't "fix" him anymore than it will cure her delusion. It's not a flaw, men will cheat, it is what it is. The next guy will do the same. Shattered fairytales, Santa isn't real, lol.
