I am American Italian and I am married to a Muslim - Arab man. It's had its challenges but he is my forever. 😍

Outside of language, culture and religious differences their are many, many similarities with curtain ethnicities in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, west and northwest India and other regions of western Asia with not just eastern Europeans but also western Europeans because they all originally came from the same tribe many thousands of years ago in the caucasian mountains and in what is currently Russia and the Ukraine. Over time some of the tribe either stayed in this region or spread out into Europe or spread out south in the most western areas of Asia or into the south central areas of Asia and with this spread developed their own separate language, culture and religions. As they lived long enough in these regions the natural climate of these regions very minimally changed the physical features but overall the physical features of certain ethnicities in places like Iran and nearby areas of Iran look very, very similar to Europeans in Italy, Germany etc mainly because they all came from the same tribe 1000s of years ago. Don't want to say all people of this region in Iran and western Asia look like Europeans because there are brown skin people and very dark skin African looking people because Africans also migrated to Asia and elsewhere as well. But the European look is very noticeable in these regions of Asia with many ethnicities.

When you talked about leaving Iraq and how it was one of the saddest moments of ur life I remembered when my family and I left Syria in 2012 because of the war.. I was also 12 and it was the saddest and the worst moment of my life it still affects me when I remember that time but you know everything happenes for a reason and I trust in God so much that I believe that what happened to us was for our benefit and that's more than enough to me

You are sooo sweet, i started crying while watching this video,especially the immigration part. Me and my family moved from East to West Europe 4 months ago and i still have lots of memories that are bothering me. @yasameena.56088 жыл бұрын
I am aware of that but you don't see that much muslim middle eastern women marrying someone who is western or out of their religion. I searched on the internet to try and find someone who can speak out and say that we can marry who we love is so rare it almost doesn't exist. Also there are a lot of problems coming from the girls family and she can't do anything about it, there might be chances where they disown her or stop talking to her or simply fucking her life until they are happy to get their revenge. and I wish if someone like Sarah, especially from iraq since thats where I'm from, would speak out and talk about what she went through, she doesn't have to get personal its just telling us how she got over it and what was her families reaction. Men aren't punished for marrying a westerner, they are at some points praised for it and thats why its not a problem for them. But for us women it is a disaster it is a sin. My brother is praised for looking at girls and saying that they are beautiful, but i get to be called a disrespectful girl for saying that an actor is handsome.
@barbaraabdulsalam3368 жыл бұрын
+Yasameen Albasri I hear you. And I understand what you are saying. I do know a few Muslim women who married outside their race and religion. You are right, sadly, they are not well accepted. Although, I am not well accepted by my husbands family either, it's something we chose in spite of it. It definitely had and has its difficult moments but love is love. I think it is beautiful when two cultures and religions can find love. I hope and pray that every person who finds true love, can live happily and harmoniously. Sometimes we have to make the difficult decision to step away from those ideals and find out own happiness, even though it's scary. Best of luck to you!

Love you, Sarah! Thanks for the great video! You are a great professional and you are an amazing person! You are so gentle and wise. It's pleasure to see you and listening to you! There are a lot of things which european people should learn from asian. You brought with you some iraqi sun to my heart. Thank you. PS Please make a video "marrying someone outside your culture" (my husbund's culture and society is so different from mine also! I love to explore and learn new things but sometimes I have to explain this differences to other my relatives who are not so ready to accept and learn new...). Thank you once again.

We are all the same. Plus, Mediterraneans all have ancient Northern Middle Eastern ancestors. So marrying each other really doesn't change anything. Similar cultures and share an ancient history and come from the same ancestors from Northern Middle East(Western Asia).
