I see a lot of people missed the fact that he mentioned Aruba first, where a teen girl went missing and was never found. Yes, there is crime everywhere but letting your teen roam an unfamiliar area isn't safe, no matter where you go.

Plus what the media didn't show was how her mother was just using the attention for herself. That was years ago and sinve then nothing has happened.

I travel to Jamaica on mission trips almost every year and we are in the hills and mountains most of the time if not the entire time. We were out of Ocho Rios and it is a beautiful place it truly is. You see many things in Jamaica, but that is everywhere. When I went for the first time, I was shocked at the living conditions and the way the people lived their lives, but when I met them and played with the children day after day, I grew a deep love for Jamaica and its people...even the animals! They are some of the sweetest creatures you will meet i promise you. They all asked me why I played with the dogs and showed them love because they were dirty and strays..but that is what I love the most. I also got the chance to meet the most amazing woman. Mama Irene lives high in the mountains near Ocho Rios and is the sweetest woman I have ever met. She remembered my face and name after not seeing me for a whole year and just burst into tears and prayer while hugging me. Now....I have been chased out of Windsor by a man with a machete...but I had the honor of meeting Mama Irene...so you take the good with the bad, but I absolutely love Jamaica and everything it has to offer.

Ive been to Jamaica. And lemme tell you I never been to a place where people have been so damn welcoming. All I saw were smiles and tons of people said hello as they walked by. It was like one of those movies where you live in the perfect town and everyone is jolly. Cant wait to go back in late 2020

I’m Jamaican and the only way you can go up in dem Hills, is if you have family or friends up there, they just wanna hear your accent and that’s it!! But there are also some really nice people in em Hills but some tend to prey on tourists, so you gotta be careful too but overall Jamaica is a beautiful place

Every country has places where you can't go as a tourist or send your kids unsupervised. Jamaica has beautiful areas apart from beach where you can visit where you enjoy nature. Jamaica is extremely dangerous. Steve's entirely right when he says stay by the beach but even there you're not safe. Stay where there's people and never trust anyone you don't know. My mom went there and she watched two people get kidnapped and nobody could do anything about it because the people that did it, owned the area. Lots of gang activities

Well I just googled Spyglass Villa where he stayed and it looks to be very secluded and beautiful so it's possible the guards were double armed probably hired especially for Steve. I think if I were a celebrity visiting any island I would take my chances at a beach resort where lots of other ppl are around cuz up where his villa is located I can see it getting pitch black at night lol. Btw I live in Montego Bay from the states and actually live up a small hill and it's very nice but I also see what he's saying.
