Can I just say, I am very very glad that TOSKA does not have a vocalist. It's like listening to a symphony. Somehow, a vocalist seems like it would take away from it: I have never felt as incredibly moved or emotional about a song with a vocalist as I have with instrumental music. Emotions aren't words, they're feelings, and music like Toska shouldn't have words it seems to me. :) ps just bought your signature guitar and I adore it.

i agree but only because i dont know a single metal band with tolerable lyrics. i fucking love metal, i love screaming, but these god damn lyrics always have stakes that are way greater than a personal level and the suspension of disbelief that is required of me to relate to them or feel something for them is just too much. its always about gods or kings or worlds and hordes and i just cant bring myself to give a heck

that being said, toska makes me feel things more than even other instrumental bands do. dunno what id do with myself without them.

Hey rabea first off happy new year to you can't wait for another year of awesome videos from you, My 2 questions are 1)What is the best way to conduct a practice session and how long should you practice for ? 2) How can i play with confidence when you have say family around etc that can cause distraction, because i like to play at home when its quiet then its easier to concentrate, how can i over come that issue if you like, i have played live before in front of about 100 people at a wedding but can't get over that confidence barrier at home ? Keep up the great videos man

When you tracked the new album, did you record dry and add your effects later to make effects levels easier to alter in the mix? Or did you just "print" everything to "tape" all at once? If recording with all your effects, are you also doing a DI track so you can reamp if needed?

Question! How to you find picking tones in a professional recording situation (such as with your new album) re variety of amps, cabs, guitars and settings etc. Vs tones at home or gigging? I often find my home and demo tones are not appropriate when it comes to proper tracking and the gain has to be dialed back and the tones retweaked.
