Why does protein interfere with carbo/levo

Levodopa absorption can be affected by how much protein is in your diet, this is because levodopa has a similar structure to the building blocks of proteins called amino acids. The body absorbs proteins and levodopa using the same transporter, so less levodopa is able to be absorbed when it is with protein. Just have your levodopa an hour before or two hours after eating protein.

This is a disaster... I sure doesn't hope this is what they feed Michael J. Fox. MICHAEL, IF YOU SEE THIS: GO CARNIVORE. Fatty red meat, eggs (if you can tolerate), bacon, some fatty fish for DHA/EPA (mackeral or wild caught salmon) salt and water. Nothing else. Sincerely, Anders.
