For sure you can weave a 3-1 design (3 up and one down, or one up and 3 down). Provided the length of the loom (distance between warp beam and breast beam) is 44 inches or 110 cm. That's the secret!

I have question if you dont mind. I am planning to weave a cloth with a thousand threads. Can a 8 shaft jack loom handle it or would the treadles be too heavy to lift? Thank you in advance
