23:39 #RIP Rest In Peace. That was really nice. If you want to give that last box more character you could use a darker wood on two of the sides and a different shade of wood on the other two sides. Just put a piece of glass over the front if you want to make them into shadowbox and just stain it and it would look nice as well.

You really have to let that DTM cure real good before you apply hardware or pull tape..I always used a hair dryer to help dry around door knob holes etc before I put the hardware back on..good stuff though after it cures and toughens up after a few weeks..

Just yesterday I was looking on Home Depot’s site for the “plastic” tanks and they have three commercial Rhem’s 75, 85, and 105 gallon tanks. But those use large titanium heating elements. Would those last longer then regular metal elements?
@instanoodles3 жыл бұрын
yes the titanium should last longer. They were wrong though all Marathon tanks come with titanium elements not steel.

Painting the outside of the doors with a water-based paint is never a good choice. It will start to fade within a few months, and paint will start to peel off within a year. Only an oil-based paint can withstand
@buckhorncortez3 жыл бұрын
What if it's white paint? You figure that will fade? What's it do, get whiter? I used exterior latex DTM paint on my doors 25 years ago - they still look just fine. I live in New Mexico we get about 360 days of sunshine, and the paint has not chalked, peeled, etc.

Whoa whoa whoa........ those electric heating elements are NOT steel. They are Nichrome which is a blend of nickel and chromium. Completely different materials, doesn't corrode, and frankly disappointed to hear this coming from TOH.

Guess he forgot to paint the side, top and bottom?

No, the side, top and bottom are already painted. The owner only wanted the outside face of the door to stand out and match the shutters.

Actually, the best roller for doors is a micro-fiber cover. The coat is so even it looks like the paint was sprayed on.
