I always wonder what the new year's trends will be even though I don't change a lot out. I enjoyed hearing what the two of you are seeing a "the new". I also like that you are real and know it's great to change out vignettes and make a change without breaking the bank. Good words of advice at the end of the video.

I really enjoy your videos and content! Cozy is a good word for interior styles! I have been striving for that for years. I definitely cater to my own style, and I have always claimed the “no rules” mantra! My design leans more retro cottage… a little bit of English, French Country, Coastal with a mixture of the 70’s! Lol!

I have Dunn Edward’s Muslin on my exterior, I really like it, however I need a slightly deeper color for siding that complements DE Muslin. Can you give me some ideas?

Just found your KZbin & love it! We are about to build a house on our farm, & I’ve had trouble planning for it. What do you think about the kitchen island having the dining room table in the middle? Like the island would be a block U shape & where it opens would be the table with booth seating. I also plan to have a formal dining room too.

I have soapstone counters we just put in this year and we love them. I love how they change with you and get their own unique patina with time. Durability hasnt been an issue at all for us. We use a soapstone revitalizing sealer when it gets dry but i love the dry look too! If you are in doubt, just go for it because theres a reason its been used for over 100 years for kitchens. ❤

Yes!!! We love them and love them as they aged but the maintenance stresses a lot of people out and granite has been much more cost effective in our area’ but yes I’m team soap stone because 😍😍😍😍😍

Well look at you 2!! I think you have upped your game. Your tours are so much fun. I love them. My ideas about wood have stayed mostly the same. I know I have mentioned that I refinished antiques and wood for 25 years. I had a good business going. I love wood. really oak is my favorite . I just sat back and watched them take all the finish out of wood. Spray it with oven cleaner. I just couldn't handle it. You have to know when to hold back on stripping. My Dad loved walnut. He used his own trees. He was my mentor. I will tell you one thing. If you take all the finish out of wood. Where is the glue used to put that piece together. Do you remember when they dipped furniture into chemicals. A lady brought a high chair to finish. she took it out of the car and it feel like timber. I talk to much Joyce
