I only use vinyl safe on all my exterior projects excluding black because of the tint structure.

Very educational. I do have a question. I sprayed a stain on my deck and got some over spray on the vinyl siding. I used, according to Thompson Water Seal help line, some denatured alcohol which got some off, and then used acetone. The acetone did remove the stain better, but it smeared in places and others places it didn't come off. I'm going to power wash and then touch up some of the places with paint. Would just touching up here there be better than painting the whole side of the house, or would you recommend painting the whole side? I'm painting it white, which is the original color of the siding. Thank you.

Great video👍👍👍 Could you prevent the siding from warping if you were to paint the siding in the fall or winter? Last summer I bought exterior paint from Lowes and painted the exterior walls of my sunroom a dark grey, and within days the siding was warping.

I've got aluminum siding that I pressure washed and the paint I some areas came off. My guess is the paint is oxidized. Would it be worth painting and what would that strategy look like? Or is that a sign to replace?

Hi there Nick from Brittish Columbia I have built a 20x60 deck and have used pressure treated radius decking.The deck was completed app 9 months ago and now i want to stain it using a solid colour oil stain.The deck has never been treated with anything except the factory pressure treated process.1-Do i have to sand the deck first(what grit of sand paper should i use)And 2-what product sould i use Bengie Moore,Sherman Williams,Dulux(glidden).....Thanks for your help....Dean

alonewcompany there are vinyl safe colors from SW and BM that you can use. Do a test first, however.

1. do you think the same way you can paint vinyl gutters, the one you can buy at lowes or homedepot now, I just wanted it to match my almond trim color, 2. also how you would recommend to prepare it if its new, 3. how long you think it would less before it start pealing?

Service KMM vinyl or plastic gutters don't hold paint very well. If you had to paint them, scuff sand, prime with waterbased bonding primer then topcoat with 100% acrylic paint.

I am going to paint the vinyl siding on my house and I plan on using Sherwin Williams exterior paint. I will go light and use the vinyl safe colours. I live in Canada and it’s gets really cold in the winter and hot in the summer. My question is should I use Duration, Superpaint or Emerald?

I washed new vynle siding with dawn Then primed with zinger adhesion primer and my top coat is still coming off. I believe it's duration. Now what.? Just looked at shed and wherever siding rubbed to come together it's peeling already. Nightmare. Going to hit peeling spots with peel stop.

Have you ever sprayed vinyl siding and not backrolled or backbrushed it?

Randall Brehmer yes. I wouldn’t normally back brush or back roll vinyl unless it was porous. But that’s an unlikely scenario.

THANK YOU .... for your video...& expertise! QUESTION: Is there a way to make EXTERIOR VINYL SIDING (Terra Cotta color).... LOOK “stained”. Perhaps lighting ‘brushing’ a stain colored paint.... over existing siding? Wanting to make it look ‘farmhouse’/weathered. Thanks! Blessings🙏🏼🙌🏻

???? Doesn't Vinyl siding expand and contract ??? If it is painted, wouldn't the paint adhere the siding pieces together ??? Such that what happens to the area where the vinyl pieces over lap ??? I would assume the pieces expand and contract the same and the connection areas would be ok ? Also, when it contracts, wouldn't we see the old color around the edges ???
