Another top video Nigel. I love your final 'Scorpions Tail' pic, very impressive.

Thanks Dan, for just 2 hours it’s a super result I think

@@HogarthsAstrophotography It really is Nigel. I know you're using the ZWO 2600mc and wondered how much better you think this camera is. I'm using a ZWO 294mc Pro but have thought of upgrading as I have one of my mates is interested in buying it off me.

Superb job on this mate! - It looks like a really rather good filter, I think you put together a nice series of test situations here - well done! Thanks for taking the time to make this!

Thanks Luke, I should start writing scripts rather than free-winging it. Glad you enjoyed it.

Great video. That filter looks to perform extremely well which is great because it means even more choice for us astrophotographers.

I bought this filter and I really like it under my B4 skies. I have learned there are 2 variants of this filter. D1 and D2 (6nm Ha/OIII & OIII/SII). Nice product.

Great video. I am looking to buy my first duo narrow band filter and I have been recently think about this one over the L-eXtreme, especially as there is also the D2 version available. I am using a redcat51 and 533MC-Pro and want something to pull those nebula out of the background. Currently I just have an L-Pro filter. Fantastic final image….I’d love to see a film showing how you processed it (I do see you have another video outlining a process, so did you use the same method?).

Hey Hogarth nice looking results, it looks like this has similar performance to the Antlia ALP-T Duo (Golden) which I really rate. I think all the Optolong l-eXtreme have the halo issue, I know myself and Logan both had the big halos too with that filter. Clear skies :)

If i can keep it long enough, I'd like to try a shootout with the Antlia 5nm Golden Duo, which I have too,. Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers

Looks like a great filter that gives nice results to, I wonder if it would work at F2?

What is bortle of your location? Guiding accuracy? What about resolution comparing with true narrow-band filters from Chroma and Astrodon?
@HogarthsAstrophotography Жыл бұрын
I’m bottle 4 and the guiding was around 0.7 to 0.9 rms. I cannot afford Chroma or Astrodon filters 🤣
@anata5127 Жыл бұрын
@@HogarthsAstrophotography It is great! You don’t need Astrodon for bortle 4. Any filter will be more or less fine for bortle 4 and 0.7-0.9 guiding. Situation will change if you are in bortle 7-9 or your scope is high-resolution (big) and mount is high end. Then, Ascars, Optolongs, Antilas and ZWOs ain’t going to cut.

Nice Hogarth! Do you know what the f ratio range this filter can work too?
@HogarthsAstrophotography2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I’m not entirely sure, the specs don’t really say anything. I’ll see if I can ask them
